I swear the offense buff is at least 50%, and the defense one is like half damage (gut feelings, lol). I’d much much rather have one mean something serious and they not stack than one be weak and they do stack. Like somebody else said, you’re still gonna be looking for chances to refresh/switch constantly either way.
I think it would be interesting if the defense chi negated chip, to help you deal with zoning while you try to get in.
Ah I see after watching it again. Seth didn’t correct him so it sounded like he was saying “Yea because of the stack you can get almost a million damage”.
Well at least they’re thinking about it.
No stacking?
Disappointing but i was prepared for that possibility. As has been previously said it will still be fun to find time to get his powerup going.
Analyze Fists will always be Analyze Fists
I think this is a just a jumping normal. I’m pretty sure it happens during Seth’s video during him trying to get meter and TACing with Strange.
Also, one use of the blue defense charge. Since he has numerous points at which he can charge during his combos, it may be advantageous to use blue when trying to get in or just when the game is at a neutral point. If the life added isn’t major then it may not be advantageous at all if people can TOD anyway.
It’s a shame that the chi don’t stack. They seem powerful enough (red at least) without it so I’m not going to sweat it.
Which assist do you mean? I assume you mean the Dragon Kick, as it’s the only one that travels forward,
If it IS armored, that would allow him to blow through projectiles to get in on zoners.
He said ‘hyper’, I presume he means Fists of Fury
Holy crap how did I misread that?
Too much hype. The idea of Dragon Fang having armor is so kickass that it temporarily shorted out your brain.
By the way i love the shoutouts to kung fu movies in the move names. I’ve been watching kung fu movies to pass the time and get hype(who am i kidding,i’d be doing that anyway)
I’ve been doing some of that too, interestingly there was a Bruce Lee flick called Fist of Fury, and also one called Fists of Fury. Renaming HK movies back in the '70s was an imprecise art.
Also, somebody ambitious should make a list of all the references
Oh ya I got tricked by that. Chinese connection was originally titled fist of fury, but changed for america. The big boss was retitled fists of fury. I already had the big boss, and was looking for fist of fury. I saw fists of fury at the store, and bought it. Ended up getting a movie I already had, pissed me off. Thank god for youtube.
then the question is how many of those can he loop before hsd eats up comboability.:badboy: and if they force stand on a crouching opp.
and  at powerups not stacking. c’mon capcom. stop being scurred. ‘good’ broken is fine. ‘dumb’ broken isn’t.
the fact that they’re all 1 or 2 hits (the rekkas) should help that a lot. Also that his chains will likely be mostly specials… do I rememeber right that specials scale less than normals?
I think it’s safe to say that, otherwise Dante’s 30 days combos wouldn’t be possible.
He looked like a sick battery before they revealed meter building chi!
Give him Doom Beam or Akuma Tatsu to eat other projectiles and you have a real problem I bet.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOP!
Anyone have any idea what his ~life is.
He looks great on point and his assists are also godlike (or so it seems), being able to DHC constantly between him and your other character will be pretty good to use him at full potential.
