Does he actually have other moves, though? The Seth/IGN vid was so short it made it seem like he has Rekkas, Chi, and that’s it. I’ll have to watch it again…
i don’t see any way iron fist can combo if they’re airborne. he is looking low tier right now. well maybe he has a jump loop.
And since he can overhead during strings, maybe it is a true unblockable?
No way he has absolutely no way answers to jumping. If nothing else he can jump up and launcher into hard knockdown>otg>combo, otherwise I still think a basic air hit confirm into his flying kick would wallbounce into combo.
this character is gonna demoralize so many people. that overhead kick is gonna be great on point AND as an assist. OH + low assist xx up kick>flying kick wall bounce>followup combo means you better stay off the ground or eat UB’s all day. learn to pushblock if he’s preceeding it with normals too. OH assist will come in handy as well. his looks way more user friendly than akumas or vipers, not to mention you can put armor on it with his blue chi powerup. i’m imagining some combos that allow you to use all three chi powerups but we’ll see how that pans out (blue for armor, red for damage, yellow-green for that extra meter to tack on level 3). if his throws are dangerous, then DAMN…cheap shit all day. plus he’s quick and hits hard. better kill him fast before the next thing you hear is “DOWN!”
Imma just be generic and use Drones. When Drones are on the screen any character becomes a mixup beast
If they didn’t nerfed the time allowed to combo after a Wesker shot, I’ll stay with the Dragon Fang assist, wall bounce -> shoot him -> teleport -> do your combo.
With the new Sent speed buff, I’m thinking the exact same thing

They’re changing drones though, right? I don’t remember what they’re doing I just remember reading that they’re getting changed
he can’t exactly follow up after a wallbounce unless he is close to the corner kinda like ryu. i don’t see how iron fist can handle
a. small characters(all that cross up shananigans won’t work)
b. trish, mags, storm or anyone who is primarily airborne (he can’t exactly swat anyone from the air)

Against B I would random pillar hyper DHC into Wesker and then let him handle those characters.
They reduced its lockdown time, judging by all the streams I watched though it still appears to have similar effectiveness. Obviously with lack of aerial movement he’s gonna need something to help him advance and start rekka mixups so Unibeam, Cold Star, Drones and possibly Strange’s Magic bolts are looking like good assists to pair him up with
His regular dash travels really far so I imagine his wavedash will be good too, should get him there under cover fire
Really don’t get the hype around Wesker’s low assist for Iron Fist. He can already OTG combos on his own and ANYTHING that can put the opponent in block stun is gonna be a free combo. Maybe it’s just me, I’m just sick of everyone relying on Wesker gunshot assist since day 1 when it’s really not needed the majority of the time.
It’s because a lot of people hype about Iron Fist are Wesker players, so we want to make them work together. It’s not like I’m putting Wesker on the team just for Iron Fist, I want them both on my team and Iron Fist on point, that’s all.

I just wanna use Iron Fist at point, Iron Man (a), and Doctor Strange all on one team already. I seriously like that overhead that Fist has. Does anyone know about whether he has that captain america-like command dash that crosses up the opponent?
