Look at this video where Iron Fist combos Chris into that OTG axe Kick. Notice how Dragon Palm is a hard knockdown? Couldn’t he do another one (would work with a XFactor cancel, but how about without?) to OTG again? Looks like it has a fairly large recovery though…
Tag out w/ red chi, maybe through DLC, means Iron Fist might be the heaviest hitting combo-filler assist in the game
i’m sure people once they get there hands on the game will find creative ways of using it also like you said cross over counters (which people HARDLY use and I strongly believe people are sleeping on these as is myself) with that assist is going to be godlike. Because it pretty much gives him a free combo. Just like X-factor canceling your blockstring this is just at the use of 1 meter and then profit.
I have never understood why Cross over counters were so underused. I main Thor on point and whenever I have to switch him out I am always looking to interrupt a ground series with his mighty smash into free combo = dead whoever. Thinking Iron Fist will be able to do the same.
Does anyone have a feeling that his crumple assist will end up being one of the best assists in this game? The ability to combo off it sounds godlike.
totally depends on it’s invincibility frames, if it’s anything like trons or haggars in the current beta version of mvc3 we are play then yes it will be but if it’s not and is highly punishable it won’t make for that great of an assist BUT will make one of the if not THE BEST cross over counter in the game which I’ve been talkin about in my recent posts in this thread with a couple other people…

so he has different kind of chi that does different things. so each button im guesing is a different chi. i like that each chi helps you with something tho that adds to the stragety of ironfist.

Haven’t though about using the crumple as cross over counter. Sounds pretty good, and to compensate for the meter spent, you could just use the meter chi after it and then keep the combo going.
I think that assist could easily go either way, look at she-hulks clothesline, it causes a crumple and has super armor but its just not very good cause it takes too long to hit the super armor frames, and whiffs on crouchers. If its fast then it can be a pretty good assist. Right now I haven’t seen any assists with the new dudes that could be really cool but time will tell.
I think he might as well end up being an OK character. Like Deadpool or Ryu, if you really like them you can use them and you’ll be just fine because they’re not bad at all, but no one will use them just because of how good they are.
It is pretty fast, but the range is ass, when Seth first whiffed it I thought it was a meter building assist, because he doesn’t move forward at all.
He’s going to better than Ryu, that much is already obvious. Self OTG, crumple, hits harder, and dat JAM kick!

Yeah I think he will, but he will also be very reliable on assists, so he will no be as popular as Wesker, he will need a team build around him, so even if he is pretty good people that don’t like him won’t build teams around him unless he’s Wesker/Wolverine/Phoenix good.
He’ll be at least Spider Man good, and spidey is pretty amazing when played right.

Yea im not too thrilled with the newer Iron Man. I loved Vanilla IM. I do think beam assist would be money for Iron Fist… also possibly Samurai edge to make his high damaging combos even longer. Iron Fist/IM/Wesker seems to be a team that would compliment Danny farely well.
Yes! That’s what I thought since they leaked Iron Fist! But then they shitted all over Iron Man… I’ll give him a try, but I think I’ll stay with Iron Fist, Wesker and Doom/Nova, because I really don’t like the idea of controlling space with Iron Man, his rushdown was so much fun.
