I actually land it often and I go for it a lot of the time if I have the meter stocked. It all depends on the circumstances I guess, but I do like using it often in my game.
on a different topic: when are we gonna get in a good session for you bro?! Im free literally all day long tomorrow so we can run some matches tomorrow if youd like =)
Most definitely, I should get back from class at about 2 pm your time, and I’ll be free until 7pm when I have to host this weekly trainin’ room for Cross Counter.
EDIT: By tomorrow did you mean it as Tuesday, or Wednesday?
It’s pretty much just a weekly endless battle room that I’ll be hosting every Wednesday so the members of Cross Counter can get to know each other and help work on each other’s game. MiikeyBoii should be there, and I think Lunatik said he was gonna show
the beginning of this is interesting. kiryu’s trying to find a way to beat honda reversal’s after doing guy’s run slide safe jump setup.
i really like kiryu’s mindset when it comes to learning this game. seeing good players go into training to see how to punish things or to come up with setups is really cool. i’ve seen kiryu lose to a cammy before in endless battle… then immediately quit endless battle and go into training to figure something out in that matchup.
He also played a long set against Staygold/tobigaotineyo he lost about 16 in a row before winning 2. I have been keeping up with Kiryu’s play for a few months now. I really like his style of play but I think he sits on his meter too much. Before the sets were closer between the two players but Ryu just seems to have those extra few options to close out the match that Guy does not have.
^^ dude’s got good offense. he’s got all his hit confirms and combos down for sure, but he’s got terrible defense. as soon as gouken started to rush him he’d get hit by a ton of stuff(hence the 2 comebacks from gouken). i wish the guy player would’ve attempted more throws too. even if they get teched it still sets stuff up later for baiting crouch techs for counterhits. now that i think about it… i don’t think i remember any throws from the guy player in all those rounds. in my opinion throwing is integral for guy as it sets up safe jumps and crossup fakes with his elbow.
I think he did one or two throws, but yeah his def needed work. Just using EX Hurricane would’ve saved him many times(or if it totally whiffed would at least got the gouken thinking he’d use it), and just no throw teching at all. Which of course vs gouken, means ultra.
Idk could have cut his Combos down a bit so they wouldnt scale so much (cr lp x3 > FF Chain for example could have just done one or 2)… and one occasion he did An EX hozanto when he was in range to do HK tatsu or EX tatsu after a FF Chain.
SteppedFreenz offense is pretty good. He is so offensive that he tries to counter while someone else is in mid combo instead of blocking. He definitely could have threw some ex hurricanes after knockdowns while Gouken was close. Overall nice combos
haha that’s RisoN90. good shit RisoN. you still gotta work on your hit confirms though. there were some points where you landed a cr. jab > TC, but then you canceled to run stop. and then on block i saw you do cr. jab > st. strong xx EX shoulder. the only thing i can guess is that you’re playing on autopilot.
overall though good stuff… you’re really aggressive haha.
