edit---- Considering we just got a new matchup thread, I was thinking someone should remake this thread with a first post updated archive of good guy videos. A section dedicated to videos showing tips and tricks with guy and another with players playing as guy. Most of the videos in this thread are pre-release or early release where people were still trying to figure him out. I know for a fact combofiend is much better in this video than when he last played Marn’s dudley or even further back at UGTL 6.
This just shows that marn is underlooked.
Yeah definitely looks like the match up’s in Guy’s favor. The air-to-air flip throw looks like a problem for Rufus and those roundhouse jump ins look so dope too!

Awesome play by combofiend, he’s improved loads with Guy. Makes me want to start using U1 again. Love the backdash into EX houzanto for punish too.
I never doubted Combofiend here, but Marn definitely got worked which I’m glad he did. This also shows that Guy can easily take on Rufus with out any serious trouble. Marn underlooking Guy was his downfall. Though I’m surprised Elbow didnt beat BBT when Marn reacted to Combo’s Jump… usually it would but probably the time of the reaction.
yea i thought elbow was gonna beat rufus’ U2 also. i was like… oh rufus is gonna eat that. that was some great play by combofiend though. he’s much improved with guy since i last saw. though i always felt guy does well against rufus because he has answers to rufus divekick pressure with cr. strong, TK izuna, bushin flip grab, and ex hurricane. like you said though Blooddrunk… that’s what marn gets for underestimating guy. combofiend made all the right moves in those sets.
like some one else said… i really like the backdashes to ex shoulder. i don’t know why… but 90% of the time people like to throw shit out after blocked shoulders.
Man,I’ve been saying the Rufus match is not in Rufus’ favour at all for a while now.With all of Rufus’ bullshit you’d think it was in his favour but Guy has answers to said bullshit unlike other characters.Regardless, Marn didnt know the matchup.

Another Combofiend Guy set from the Afroshoto party,this time against Mike Ross.Combofiend does some good shit against Honda,like going for throws more on wakeup than elbow pressure or cross ups, but at the end of the day it’s mike ross playing Guys worst enemy.It gets kinda funny towards the end too.
