The sad reality is that the lives of the highest lawmakers in the country are individually worth more than the average joe. Every law maker in the building that day were in powerful people in powerful positions certifying political transfer of powers. Looking at the US Capitol riot as just another riot and nothing more feels very bizarre to me. If youâre looking at a threat to the lives of the countryâs most powerful politicians as the same as a threat to the life of a random person, then youâre never going to understand why the US Capitol riot was a big deal. Myself and others have explained why multiple times that the US Capitol riot was the catalyst for social media finally started taking action. Because progressivism is basically just a secular religion for people who think theyâre âtoo smartâ to be religious religious but still want the same dopamine hit that an old church lady gets from calling out sinners and witches. I think itâs fine to drop it (others can chime in if they disagree with me) but Iâll leave it at this: in a vacuum, they are not, but in the real world and grand scope of the world, they are. If that wasnât true, the president wouldnât have security detail, let alone any powerful politician. The point is that they are powerful people, and if they werenât powerful and important, they wouldnât have been targeted by an angry mob trying to disrupt a legal and fair election.
