We spent the whole summer having riots that caused millions of dollars worth of damage, many lives lost, etc. and nobody was talking about banning people for saying folks should burn cities, loot, and shoot cops but suddenly a bunch of people riot at the Capitol. The only difference is the cause. Twitter banned 70k accounts in relation to the capitol riots, but I can’t find a thing about them banning people involved with riots this year.

Because nothing was getting banned in 2020. That’s the context.

“Overwhelmingly” I guess it depends on what bullshit you agree with and what you don’t. I think both the extreme left and extreme right are on colossal levels of bullshit but I hear more of the left’s stuff because it’s hard to escape it if you’re online at all.

I’m just curious why it took a couple hundred people storming the capitol for them to change their policy when we had riots and violence going on most of the year. Riots are riots.

Look at the dates of the tweets. Last year versus what happened after January 6th. The platform is different now, but you are insistent on comparing a viral tweet of one person versus an entire account of someone with massive reach, constantly tweeting misinformation and dangerous rhetoric. Again, it’s a fire cracker versus a nuclear bomb.
Let me ask you this, do you see the riots that happened in the Summer of 2020 to the storming of the US Capitol as equal offenses? If so, this is why, from my perspective, you’re looking at this from a skewed perspective. Had the riot on January 6th been limited to the streets (which probably would have been the case had Capitol police actually been properly prepared), the comparison of events would be of similar nature. However, what happened that day was more than just a riot, as Pence, Pelosi, and many other very important government officials could have been killed that day. I’m not saying this to be dramatic either, because trying to hurt or kill our highest government officials, especially when they’re certifying the election, is a very serious crime and action.

Well, gender isn’t physical sex, gender has to do with orientation, social roles and identity.
Even before the modern age and the whole mess with identity politics and the normalization of homosexuality, transexuality, etc. there were cultures where some people were classified as neither feminine nor masculine, like the Hijra in India.
And if we wanted to be really technical then even when it comes to physical sex some people with genetic weird shit in the XX/XY chromosomes can be born as stuff in-between. They would be the Intersex people.
