I didn’t agree with how SH put it and didn’t watch the video he posted, but there is apparently a good deal of kiddie pron on twitter that even after people have alerted them to it, is still up, while people like Milo Yiannopoulos get banned with the quickness. There was a comedian on a podcast I was listening to who started an organization to get child porn removed from twitter and she was saying that she alerted them to about 10 accounts and as of a week later, 6 of them were still active, yet they make a big to-do of stamping out wrongthink and conspiracy theorists.
Now Albertans are really butthurt because Biden refused the pipeline project. We’ll hear them complain for a while.

It’s probably a bunch of bots and a few understaffed, underpaid people that can’t control everything that is published on Twitter nor check all the reports that are constantly being sent out.
Big social media is unpoliceable: they’re too big for human beings to monitor and companies aren’t going to spend money on that level of human control anyway, bots and automatic moderation are too unreliable to do the job (they’ll either be too lax or too censorious because bots fundamentally can’t understand what they’re looking at), and the amount of stuff to control just keeps on growing day after day.
There is certainly some negligence and carelessness from companies because, as long as things go well for them, they’ll always try to not spend too much money on moderation if they can, but on the other hand I’d also argue that even if companies were genuinely interested in ensuring proper moderation a complete elimination of illegal stuff would remain impossible since social media are just too big to be properly policed. The only thing that would work would be draconian rules on how content is allowed to be uploaded, to the point regular discussion could be harmed, which is not something I’d like to see either.
Honestly if there is suspect shit i would report it to the fbi or dhs
