That isn’t the same thing, especially when the press and Trump hate each other. A lot of times, reading/hearing about an event in the corporate press is like being on the receiving end of a big game of telephone, especially where Trump is concerned.
There’s a difference between having to watch a 5 minute video and read a tweet. I’d argue the tweet will reach more people because not everyone is going to watch the video and because even the corporate press will report on what he said in the tweet and short of photoshopping it, will have to include the actual message from the tweet in their report. For a guy like Trump who is hated by the corporate press, using Twitter was actually a pretty brilliant move.
I agree somewhat about Alex Jones, but he can’t even use PayPal anymore. It’s starting to look like if you have the wrong opinions, you don’t even get to use pay apps, which is a really ridiculous length that big tech has taken all this to.
And from what I heard, Gootecks hates the pogchamp thing anyway, so Twitch being spineless and getting rid of it probably works out in his favor anyway.

Yaknow, if the republicans actually courted non-whites better and more non-whites voted for them, it would make the democrats better because they wouldn’t just assume they have the non-white vote in the bag every election.

You’re right it’s not a 1:1 comparison. He doesn’t have to let reporters in. The video feed could be posted by news groups on soicail media their website etc… Or ya know use the white house Twitter account for actual political conversation.
Not reshare some bullshit tweet and add in his own jabs of his personal views.
Hell, if they even came at it from the stance of entrepreneurship or the religious aspect they could make the move.

I used to see them growing up. I lived in the last stop before the sticks outside of Columbus, OH.
Now when I moved to the equivalent in Virginia, I started to bug out over legit Confederate flags flying in people’s yards, not the stars and bars, but the real flag
