Roll…EYES!!
Huh, I had no idea he was a lawyer. I definitely think he should be up there in some capacity because I like some of his ideas. I guess whether or not he can win NYC will be a test because that usually ends up being a stepping stone to bigger things.
To me the whole “let’s run the country like a business” is a meme that anybody who’s thought through it for 10 minutes could see why that’s a bad idea. When people say, “he’s a businessman” I wonder if that’s really code for “he’s not an establishment politician.” I want to say it is, but there’s no way to know I guess.
That said, I think a government with a power structure more like a corporation might yield better results than the current setup we have.
Having worked for a lot of Corps I can’t disagree more. They are like mini versions of our Gov. Self obsorbed, ineficient, and incapable of relating to the ground floor and the issues the ground floor actually deals with. Just like our Gov, Corperate is too divorced from the world their employees/citizens actually live in to be effective at providing them tangible benefits.
The Left really needs to work on understanding the economic anxiety that drives Trump voters:
And those are? Cuz missing a Mexico vacation is really stretching the meaning of 'economic ainxiety."
#ThatWasTheJoke
There are a lot of op-ed pieces out there which posit pretty baselessly that voting for Trump was a cry for help by struggling low income whites. But when you look at the ride or die Trumpists, that’s not really what you tend to see.
Before her current role as White House Press Secretary for the Biden administration, Jen Psaki was a paid contributor for CNN. Her prior experience as communications director under the Obama administration led to valuable insights into the messaging strategies and tactics under then-President Donald Trump .
But some of Psaki’s partisan comments are coming back to haunt her, particularly one that is fairly viewed as homophobic.
At issue? The derisive and mocking term “Lady G,” which has been used by some progressives to mock Senator Lindsey Graham, who went from being a vocal critic of President Trump to one of his most loyal toadies during a divisive time in US political history. The idea behind this term is that Graham is closeted, and supportive of Trump because he fears outing. Graham is a confirmed bachelor but has many times denied he is homosexual — as if that matters.
In short, “Lady G” is for many, an offensive term, particularly for those who are fluent in the shifting world of identity politics. In August of last year, Psaki used the offensive phrase in a tweet critical of Graham’s pushing a “bunch of debunked conspiracy theories while questioning” Sally Yates:

There is an old adage that the wind blows harder at the top of the totem pole, and seeing as Psaki is one of the more visible faces of the Biden administration, she is prone to scrutiny. As such, it should come with little surprise that this tweet was dug up by many on Twitter, who quite reasonably called out her offensive use of the hashtag #LadyG.

The lawmakers are seeking her removal by way of an amendment to counter a measure from Democrats to remove Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) from her committee assignments because of her promotion of conspiracy theories and her alleged association with the far-right QAnon movement.
“The House is set to consider a measure this week that calls for Taylor Greene, a controversial first-term lawmaker known for support of the QAnon conspiracy theory, from her assignment on the Education and Labor Committee,” Fox News reported. “A proposed GOP-backed amendment to that measure calls for Omar, frequently identified as a member of the ‘Squad’ of progressive Democrats, to be removed from her committee assignments.”
Fox News reporter Chad Pergram tweeted those lawmakers sponsoring the legislation include Reps. Brian Babin (R-TX), Jeff Duncan (R-SC), Jody Hice (R-GA), Andy Biggs (R-AZ) and Ronny Jackson (R-TX).
I mean, how is what you described different from how it is now?
What I’m talking about is more like an accountable monarchy I guess, but it looks like corporate structure from where I’m sitting.
-Presidential elections happen every two years but a president can serve 4 terms.
-rather than congress, there’s a body made up of a representative from all 50 states plus washington DC that functions like a board of directors. They don’t run the country but they can check the president if he does things that arent constitutional and can throw him out if he gets however many strikes.
-presidents and board members aren’t allowed to declare a political party affiliation.
This is just a start but I think there are too many cooks in the kitchen and that’s part of why nothing gets done.
I know you meant this ironically but I really think that would be a good move on their part. Dems used to be the party of unions and fighting for the working class, can’t really say that anymore.
She begging to be locked up in prison with that shit.
Just advertise that you are a flight risk.
Also why is it when Jen Psaki tries to pose and smile for a photo she looks like a goon but when the photos are candid she actually kinda photogenic
Goon w/ weird smile

Your new age GOP in a nutshelll…
Its still the party of Trumpism and will be for many many many many years…
InfoWars is the new mainstream GOP now…
Lol I’m ok with that. I prefer they embrace Qanon and eat shit for the next 3-4 election cycles.
Also I highly doubt anyone being critical of the press secretary, actually caring about the plight of homosexuals. Like most things the right does these days, they only care so much as they can weaponize it rhetorically
She’ll say, “my bad”, and we’ll move along
Again white privelege
Fuck graham lady g is because he cross dresses while having a train run on him.
We need to let people own their words. And she should not apologize for them because she meant them
Hell we in the thread been calling him lady g for 3 years now
How is being anti israeli being antisemetic. Based on how the israeli army treats all muslims as target practice i don’t see the issue here…with omar’s take on the israeli government
The anti semetic views held by mtg are actually anti semetic in that she is attacking jews
Attacking jews is not the same as being critical on how corrupt and racist israel is.
Mtg represents the new qop. And they want to go all in. Look at cucks like gaetz and cruz. They will cannibalize each other much like the dnc have.
I vote blue because i am pro union. Biden has undone the anti union eo’s trump set up to kick out unions and we are fucking celebrating
Hell i am hoping a lot of people get raises they deserve especially working through this pandemic.
Politics in general have only been about appealing to the community. GOP does it with xenophobia and “they will take your money”. DnC does it with virtue signalling and “they will take your money”.
The more people undertstand that main tl;dr bit the more we can see that our votes matter in getting rid of the corrupt establishment
Aries, why do you keep posting these dumb shit “news”?
Like, seriously? “Lady G” is homophobic because Republicans think they’re clever aping Twitter outrages, and a flat out “no u” toward the left because one of their own came out with the idea of Jewish space lasers?
The news is making the rounds, and seems Psaki will keep making the news every time she speaks. Speaking of…
“It’s concerning to see the Biden administration’s press secretary blatantly diminish an entire branch of our military as the punchline of a joke, which I’m sure China would find funny,” said Rep. Mike Rogers.
The House Armed Services Committee’s top Republican is calling on White House press secretary Jen Psaki to “immediately apologize” for her response to a Space Force question in Tuesday’s briefing.
“It’s concerning to see the Biden administration’s press secretary blatantly diminish an entire branch of our military as the punchline of a joke, which I’m sure China would find funny,” said Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Ala.).
“The Space Force was passed with near unanimous support in Congress, the same type of ‘unity’ President Biden is supposedly working towards,” he continued. “Jen Psaki needs to immediately apologize to the men and women of the Space Force for this disgraceful comment.”
At Tuesday’s briefing, Psaki was asked if Biden had made any decisions on the future of the Space Force, which was established by Congress in December 2019 with support from the Trump administration.
‘Wow, Space Force’: W.H. press secretary asked about status of Space Force
“Wow. Space Force. It’s the plane of today,” Psaki responded, seemingly comparing the question to an earlier one about the color scheme of Air Force One. “It is an interesting question. I am happy to check with our Space Force point of contact. I’m not sure who that is. I will find out and see if we have any update on that.”
Rep. Michael Waltz (R-Fla.) also slammed the White House for Psaki’s comments on the Space Force, which Waltz said was established to protect national security and economic space missions from Chinese threats.
“This is just another example of the Biden administration not taking China seriously while demeaning the incredible work of Space Force personnel,” said Waltz, who is a founding member of the House Space Force Caucus.
After the angry reactions, Psaki later tweeted: “We look forward to the continuing work of Space Force and invite the members of the team to come visit us in the briefing room anytime to share an update on their important work.”

White House press secretary Jen Psaki reaffirmed President Joe Biden’s respect for Space Force on Wednesday, after snubbing the military branch in a press briefing Tuesday.
Somehow, I doubt it.
Man, are you and Republicans really sure that you want to die on that hill?
On the Space Force hill?
