I never log in to youtube and clear cookies on the regular to keep things honest. If you click on leftytube links, it will feed you more and longer letfytube (or Breadtube) links. The opposite if you click on too many Tim Pooh videos.
Much like obesity in America, there is some slight culpability on the part of the end user as well as the algorithm.

That’s true.
That’s also how the algorithm causes less aware people to accidentally fall into radicalization spirals as Youtube is incentivized to suggest more and more radical stuff of the thing you’re already watching. People don’t realize what’s happening and then all they’re seeing on their suggestions are outrage videos that are trying to make you mad about stuff.

Not exactly the same. It’s far far easier to ignore suggestions on ig. Since you literally have to be in search to see any kind of suggestions. Theirs no automatic feature that forces you to see stuff like YouTube will. You aren’t gonna accidentally end up in the dark web type shit with ig

YouTube always spoils shit for me with their algorithm. I’ll be looking at something unrelated and other vids will ruin a show for me with the caption alone. So I just stay off of there

The key difference is that the blm protesters weren’t unilaterally telling the world for 3 months in advance that they intended to murder people who disagreed with them.
It’s telling a group of political activists to continue activism which may have some violent consequences -vs- telling a group who 100% intends on muder/civil war to direct their anger at political opposition
I said blm protesters should protest in open carry states while open carrying. And some did
And honestly there are smarter ways
But i think most people are centrist who can come together on things like covid relief and the aca along with making life better for our children and a clearer less monetary based method for citizenship or residency

See, I think the people tweeting stuff like “Burn it down” is indirectly an incitement I guess, but even me, someone who isn’t an AOC fan by any stretch would not agree with someone trying to make the case that her tweeting things to bring and not to bring to a protest is in any way an incitement of violence.
I can speak with a degree of certainty that not all of the right wing protesters were “unilaterally” advocating murder because that would be like saying that just because a few BLM people posted “burn it down” or “violence is the answer” that ALL blm protesters are on the hook for that. It’s a few bad apples that the corporate press and democrats want to make sound like that’s what every right winger is doing, which is dishonest and dangerous, and even people like Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib agree with that on some level. Let that sink in…

…I quadrupled my money last night but Robinhood fuckery and the dip screwed me over
I don’t understand nor know shit about Wall Street or investing in shares, but my understanding at this point is that it works similarly to exploits in video games like when you glitch a merchant to get unlimited items.
