Only Metroid Prime 1 can be considered a real platformer IMO the other 2 were more focused on shooting.
Raven boss was great, Yoshi’s Island definitely ahead of it’s time and to this day under appreciated.

it wasn’t but it was mind blowing for its time as far as creativity because of the rotating background…and of course the music.
I spent about $250 on steam between black friday and christmas deals so it will be awhile before I buy anything else, but I really want Black Knight Sword. IGN’s retarded review criticized it for being too hard and playing too much like Megaman or Castlevania…:wtf: That kind of comment just makes me want it more.

black knight sword is tight, and it plays more like castlevania than megaman. i posted about it in the ps3 thread, but it’s definitely worth checking out, if not just for the art direction itself.

Yeah… I never finished 3 myself. I think I got bored with it’s repeated Ocean’s Eleven antics. 4 looks nice though. BUT NO ONE WILL FUCKING CARE BECAUSE THE NEXT GEN IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER. I’m not a huge fan of the art style, it’s kind of cool to look at in small doses but not sure I’d like a whole game’s worth, but still it’s made by one of the best developers around and looks like the hard old school platformers I love.
Giana Sisters is on my wishlist.
