or Build a PC Cabinet with arcade sticks and install BigBang Beat.
To Rick Son,
I think it is technically illegal to do that. You can build a cpu with arcade sticks but you can’t emulate/make money off of it without license. They’d get sued (if they got caught)
There are only 4 marvel machines now, they took out one when they put 3S back in, also they are all on the same side. But in my opinion they should take out all of the other games and replace them ALL with Marvel Vs Capcom 2, sure they can throw in a Marvel Vs Capcom1 cabinet every now and again but it should only be MVC2. Also the jukebox should only play MVC2 tunes, (Let Me Take You For a Ride)
Now that would bring UP back from the dead!
looked at the jap sticks on the website. there nice but in all the machines in UP have perfect 360 sticks. i cant change sticks because a few people want them. regular people wont play it because it doesnt have regular sticks on it. i am in convo with someone about getting AH so it will be in the arcade in about two weeks. one week to get it, one week to put a cabinet together. what game would people rather accent core or melty blood in the cade?
Hi, I’m a friend of Hyperhal, and alot of avid players of Melty Blood on the East Coast. The advantage of getting Sanwa/Seimitsu is that they’re more responsive, and many people within the community playing Melty Blood and Arcana Heart Full perfer, and almost, can only play on Sanwa/Seimitsu. Also for the casual gamer, Sanwa is also popular, as it’s responsive and easy to move around, instead of a stiff Perfect 360. I’ve talked to many people where Sanwa is quite preferred amongst the “doujin” type games (i.e. Melty Blood, Arcana Heart Full). Although I am West Coast, and unable to play at your arcade, I speak for quite alot of the community of having Japanese instead of American.
Thanks for you time.
I guarantee you people from NJ / NYC would come to your arcade to for MB. I personally would make the trek as much as possible.
<3
well japanese sticks would be better overall and a better experience
for the players. the games your getting (AHF, Melty Blood AC, and/or
guilty gear) are pretty fast paced and americans sticks are too stiff for
most gamers to be able to play these games comfortably. japanese sticks
are wat most of the fighting game community prefers these days and
are also easier for newer gamers to start out with. they also last longer
and are better quality then american sticks. i think these games
would do alot better in your arcade if u opt for jap sticks rather than american.
I <3 jap sticks too but lets wait until we get more good games in there to be bitching about that.
Pesky you ever get your hands on a swap magic? I got one.
MBAC, AH, and GG would suck really bad on regular bat sticks. I’ve tried, shit just ain’t right.
Please, if you get any of these games, get Jap sticks to go with them, they practically go hand in hand.
It’d be really really nice if you got japanese sticks. You keep japanese sticks on the tekken machines and people play those just fine. The games that we’re requsting go really well with the sticks, and perfect 360s are definitely not the best environment for playing on. If something has to be done to make you get them them I’m sure we’d be able to work something out, but please don’t throw away the japanese stick idea so quickly.
And I’d prefer melty blood if you get japanese sticks. If you don’t guilty gear isn’t so bad on americans, but is still torture.
yea dog trust if you get Melty… i will come… like what you heard is NY/NJ Coming… Maryland…
i perfer jap sticks… but yeah it’ up to you guys really…
good shit UP!!!
What If I Put Perfect 360 Sticks With A Lighter Spring In It Which Would Make It Much Easier To Conrol?
I should slap you for Third Strike blaspheming. You’re forgiven this time, Meat Truck.
P.S. I would learn on a p360…if they weren’t 50$ a shot, have bad wearing patterns and require special stick installation with the wiring…so take your p360 and chug it down with a McBiggister drink .
From a business standpoint, I would say go with Japanese sticks. At 30-50 per stick plus a different spring and 2 per cab…or a 20 dollar stick you could care less about people breaking that is already super sensitive. I’m biased, though…Jap sticks for the win!
And if it’s not too late to put in for it…GG:AC would be awesome to have…I might actually go to Philly to play if you have 3S and GG.
For the kind of games that you are considering, Jap sticks really do make a difference. However, it is up to you in the end what to get.
Either GG or MB is fine with me. ^^
My vote is for Melty Blood and Arcana Heart.
Rick-Son Approved!:wgrin:
To pesky,
I understand lol
hi, everyone that plays arcana heart/melty is a animu fag that prefers to play on japanese sticks. I want people to play as well, so I guess I have to go with the majority and say I want japanese stick as well. Thanks.
I honestly can’t even picture Melty Blood or Arcana Heart on American sticks. It would probably scare away the people who actually play the games, lol.
Sanwa parts all the way, definitely. And they suit the game a lot better, anyway. Also, square gates because octagonals just feel too shitty.
Although the looser spring is an appreciated thought, it won’t capture the feel of an actual Japanese stick. They feel much better as opposed to perfect 360s(those are only used in marvel really) and they’re a hell of a lot more durable. They’re very sensitive so folks won’t have to hit the buttons hard(and end up breaking them) to get a response. buttons are around 2 dollars each and a good stick would cost 20 dollars. You’d need 4 buttons for each side for each game, so that’d be 16 buttons total for $32. Four sticks would come up to $80, and with shipping and everything you should be coming out with a purchase less than $150.
Anyways I updated the first post with lists of people who want to play Arcana/Melty seriously, and I also added the games into the fighting games section with pending as their status. If anyone wants to be added to the list/taken off, just tell me and I’ll do so.
I plan on having a tournament at the arcade for when games come in, to be sort of a welcome party.
Also UP, if these games are getting people who don’t even live in the city interested in the games, don’t you think it’d be wise to cater to those who are truly loyal? And it’s not as if they don’t know what they’re talking about either, because if the people in UP didn’t like Japanese sticks you would have changed the sticks on the Tekken machines for maximum profit.
Edit: If it makes it any easier, three fellow SRK members run a business off of selling japanese parts. If you’re confused about which joystick to get or which button would be best, they would be glad to help(as would we).
