Yo guys, I dont see what the fuss is. I came two hours from York, PA. And with all the arcade ganstas, lol, and all the random no-good doers, I had a great time. I didn’t get to play anyone AMAZING, but I had a good time just fighting the local’s. If its worth it for me to make the trip, whaz the hurt on driving from where you are at? People like me strive to get better in this competetive world, and its up to the greats to stay great, so we, the losers lol, can have some hope of getting better. I have lived in an area with no greats, and no feirce comp for five years. Now that I am out of that realm, I want some damn good comp to step up, and to show me the reason why Un. Pinball is held as one of the great US Arcade’s for fighting game finatics.
Case-in-point, Arcades are our Battlefields, we fight to stay strong, we fight to learn, and we damn sure fight, for our Battlefield.

I’ll always come to UP. I’m not saying that losing one good player is the end of the world. But the point is the REALLY good players all know each other and they play where others play. If Brandon (someone else let the cat out of the bag) goes somewhere else to play then Sanford, or Rick or Josh or Razuul or Taz or Dave (although Dave really isn’t all like that) will follow. With them gone it’s up to the lesser God’s to fill the void the Traps and Flex’s and Sporty’s (although sporty isn’t all like that) and they just aren’t nearly as good as the true god tiers. And it is from the getting whopped from the God teired people that other god-like players will emerge.
Although, I will admit I have fun playing with the lower players (for I am one myself) but sometimes it gets too boring because against them I don’t play with Mags or Storm or Cable.
Does anyone know when they’ll be getting anything new in?

I’ll be in next thursday, I tried getting off next friday, but it was unrealistic. Anyway, I get payed monday, so I will most def be up there next week. Hope you all can come up there. I will play almost anything. And while Im not god tier, im good at most all fighters, and will not give up like most. Plus I got money’s

I heard one of you has a projector you play marvel on, and that is SICK! Just post some meet up info and let’s get this summer rolling! I’ll be traveling for the evo east and vegas events, but that’s not for a while.
Btw, don’t stop giving up on trying to get U.P back to the competitive scene and new games. I just don’t really believe that U.P will ever change and ESPECIALLY ever get back into the tournament scene and what not. 40th is a great place to chill because of the Upenn campus, so make it as fun as possible for each other.
As far as Mvc2 goes… When the good players start playing a slight bit serious, then the peeps that’s playing with us will just LEAVE and play that fire marshal dude. I just don’t believe anyone wants COMP and become better at times. Not everyone, but the obvious and I won’t mention names. I mean… if you really say you want to get good, then you’ll never leave to go play a lower level player. When I was coming up in Mvc2 I sucked worse than all of you! I was just 0% trash, but I never… ever backed down from a challenge and I played the best players all the time. I went up against the odds and just kept trying hardcore, but I don’t ever feel the same passion come from those certain people.
IF you guys seriously want to get better, then I don’t want to see those CERTAIN people just leave after like 2 games and go to the other random cabinet. Well, that’s if I DECIDE to ever play in 40th again… or heck even if it’s over someone’s house because it’s better anyway.

That wasn’t a stab at me was it D-Hyo? I mean I didn’t think I quit after a loss or two. Matter of fact I know I’d tap mac a couple of times just to play some of the greats. Rick recently got like 20 something on me alone. But I confess I’m not as true as I could be… alas I’ve not the time to commit solely to this game. But if we can get some free marvel-age on I may indeed see improvement in my game.
