First of all for the dude that said forget rumble fish… forget you. Rumble fish is off the hook, and subsequently the only game that I actually may have had a chance of winning a tourny.

I do admit RF2 is a little limited, but please let’s not be so hasty as to call it garbage. I think it is funner than both NGBC and SvC combined and if people dare ask that NGBC be put back in than RF2 deserves to be given another chance…

Did anybody go in there recently? I was in there this morning and they were selling some machines and I heard they were some new games also (Hopefully Some new Fighters :wgrin: ) but I talked to Reese and he said there getting alot of new stuff in there but him and sam wouldn’t tell me what there getting new.

U.P has been dead since Big Eric left. And that’s REAL It’s all about playing at home with friends, and going to major tournaments if you’re still in the groove. Then most importantly… EVO!
U.P is full of nothing but fake gangsters, people who spam the same songs on the jukebox (rap and r&b) all day long, then play random slow songs like they’re making love in the arcade o.0… and random people who just walk around all day to stare at you and also random young girls who start random BS with each other, and run around lol!

Was at UP from 5 to 9 playing some dumbass Marvel, shit is whack. I see they’re moving things around, and they’re making room for the possibility of more cabs to get up in there. I was kinda depressed to see new shooters instead of new fighters, but we’ll see how everything goes in the near future.
I hope I never have to play marvel again. I played like 15 times, but only won once with my team: Son/Jill/Guile.
The only time I’m going to U.P is if I have to meet someone there in order to go somewhere else AWAY from there. I’m most likely never going to PLAY IN THAT ARCADE AGAIN.
Cmon D-Hyo let’s not be so hasty. I know that the place sometimes gets a little too awnry and that the fangsters (fake gangsta’s) come out en masse, but let it not sully the UP experience. The fact of the matter is that as of right now there aren’t any places in philly besides UP where one can go and practice and play the greats. Rick, Sandford, yourself, Josh Wong… these are but a few of the people that go there to whoop our (the common folk) asses. We (the common folk) need our asses whopped so that we too can possibly be as good as you guys. If you guys go off and only play each other you’ll guarantee that y’all get better and we stay at our level. Don’t be so selfish come to UP for the scrubs.
Hyperhal - I think you need to ease up on marvel a little bit. Although every team is possible on low-tier (though some are better than others) if you were playing good people it might be best that you change your core team to include some of the top tier people. Although I hate him with a passion I suggest possibly learning a good cable team if you are looking to garnish some wins.

Trust me, I’m being far from hasty because this has been in my mind for a long time. No one really cares about getting good up there anyway. It is fun being with you guys, but I cannot stand that dam arcade. I have so many personal reasons even beyond what I posted.
So the question is, if the arcade got a bunch of new machines, fixed up their cabs(including buttons and sticks), and serious competitors started coming back, would you return to the arcade. Whats the point of us requesting all this stuff if it won’t change the minds of great players like D.Hyo? If thats the case, then there really isn’t any hope for the arcade.
I highly doubt it, but it depends… I know that will never happen though, and those fake thug people will just run people out like they continue to do. Oh, don’t forget about the random lil kids who run around all day, and the random people who just come in there to stare at you for no reason. Sadly, I have to travel with my fellow players in order to get comp from somewhere else. People follow Big Eric and without him it’s pointless. That’s why people come to NEC because of Big E. He’s the man and the tourney director of Philly.
However, the Upenn area is GODLIKE and I love that campus.
