Yeah, but only in the corner, only on shorter chars, only backthrow… unless you know something I don’t?
If i’m right about how it works, the actual execution of the guard break is throw (tech), walk toward, throw. it’s tough doing walk toward, backthrow, walk toward, backthrow when things are going nuts. Given, I haven’t really practiced it, you really think it’s worth going for?
If I’m in XF, and have them in TE corner, I’d rather go for some rapidfire overheads, lol
edit
After testing, the pick up is only with the back throw while the guaranteed guard break is in the corner. I don’t think that this stuff is probably good for you since you do not play ammy. It works out great with slow super for me though. When I complete a game plan with ammy/x, I’ll put up a vid with all my tech.
Actually im really curious about the whole Falling Claw land cancel into H mirage feint or something…Aside from Vergil, I know Jill can do this fo sure (which is why her tac infinite works). All she has to do is cancel her DKD into Feral as soon as she lands…this has kinda piqued my interest. As of now, does X23 have a TAC infinite?
As far as I know, dH has no ground canceling option. Just a lot of recovery frames.
X23 has a really rough theory infinite and I think we all accepted that there wasn’t a practical option. There was some promising RR boulder trap tech > X23 jump loop infinites that came out, but I haven’t messed around with it a whole lot and the little bit I didn’t made it seem like it might not work for her.
It’s funny, I think infinites are hard for X23 because capcom stylistically decided to not give her moves a lot of hitstop.
At any rate, pretty much any character that requires manual jump loop timing for their infinite is pretty impractical, especially considering different character weights.
Not hitstun, hitSTOP, which is what’s required to trigger the glitch. The hard part about that is you have to adjust for height depending on how fast the opponent is dropping… and not all characters drop at the same speed.
Well, there’s def. some wierd leniency somewhere in the engine. Magneto’s recent infinite proves it. Either way, my point was that you get a lot of leniency on landing the j.S during hitstop because her j.H has crazy hitstun on it.
I still don’t think she has a practical infinite and it doesn’t really make sense to look for one on her when you can just use someone elses much more practical infinite with the same end result.
Was never able to make an account on this website for some reason it would always say it sent me the confirmation email but wouldnt blah blah well it worked today lol.
okay so im trying to develop a good reset with wesker assist (or any assist that allows you to get neck slice that puts opponent into this spinning knockdown state) basically the idea is to do whatever bnb you prefer into wesker gunshot+neck slice then you have several options after a standing jab to reset them after this spinning knockdown state.
if they neutral or back tech you can do her ghetto beserker slash for instant hit on their recovery into full combo. *note: this will put opponent on ground if the standing L was done at the right time during their falldown from neckslice (basically resetting the combo at first hit starting with talon attack L)
if they neutral or back tech you can standing L mirage feint and do dash-> air grab. almost instantaneous grab thats nearly impossible to tech. forward throw so easily confirmed with another wesker shot, and can option select d.f. H for some safety.
if they neutral or back tech you can just standing light then fuzzy low them/ground grab/meaty command grab
if they try to mash out you can just hit standing M and hit them after st. L
my only problem is if they forward tech none of these options work and you basically have to read the forward tech and jump grab/tech with them.
possible to get dash under crossup too but this is not nearly as strong or unreactable like the crossup/non-crossup talon attack or air grab after mirage feint.
anyway, I recommend watching some of Trauma’s old matches when he was running Wesker (I dunno if he still is). Some of his vids contain good reset options involving gunshot+charged neck slice, I think he even had some tech forward ones idr.
edit: Or here you can watch this I’m a tech thief runs
He’s still running him, I just recently had a conversation about him regarding the benefits of Jaguar Dash over Gunshot. Definitely stealing that though, I’ve been playing X-23/Wesker/Ammy for the past few weeks.
Since it’s in the description and not apparent from the title. He’s using 623L 6L (Hs in the combo, of course, but it should apply to Ls also) to do the CSxxTA instead of 623L 236L or 623L 98741236L.
Also, I mentioned a while back about the Dash CSs, turns out it is possible to combo midscreen with it. Hitbox (and I assume stick, though I don’t know how practical/easy is it do it fast enough) has a nice/weird OS where you can do a really rapid 626 and it will read it as both a DP motion and forward dash. He just button dashes since he’s getting the CSxxTA cancle fast enough, though.
I love having Tenboss on our side.
Quick Edit: I just tested out the input leniency on pad and it works really really well… O.o
