I still prefer I the overall controller to dual shock, just for familiarities sake.

I always had issues with a DS pad on the PC. Had to find and download drivers and even then the fuckin’ thing wouldnt work in some games so I would have to use Xpadder. 360 pad ftw.

Huh. I typically have zero problems with Motioninjoy as long as it’s in emulated 360 controller mode. It used to be worse, but it’s gotten a lot better.
I use that Better DS3 Tool to bypass having to launch MotionInJoy so you don’t have to deal with ads MotionInJoy has, in fact i by6passes the Malware-ish features of the program completely and uses only the synch functions. It’s fantastic.
Fuckin’ took me all day yesterday and most of today to figure out how to get that downsampling shit to work, but I figured it out. Now im playing my games at 4k resolution and it looks good.
Was playing The Secret World with a friend and we stumbled across a random guy getting killed by a mob. We debated about whether we should help him (we’re in the Illuminati). The conversation went something like this:
Him [speaking about the guy getting killed]: Man there’s no way you’re gonna take both of those on

I use MotionInJoy too. I also have the extra .dll or whatever it was that allows the program to work offline.
Malware my ass. I’ve been using the program for months and not one thing has been compromised. It’s just if you leave it open, it runs ads, so that’s why you get the add-on that forces it to stay offline for those that don’t know. @Exodus I’ve also seen people on other forums believe it to be “malware” too, but it was confirmed to not be.
@crotchpuncha I just switched it to “360 mode” and now I can play Strider with a pad. Fucking awesome. Now I might actually play+stream Metal Gear: Rising. There are also a few odd games I own that I prefer to play with a pad, too.
Might get LoS1 now, but regardless I’ll be getting LoS2. Expect that to get streamed. :tup:
After a while it started launching my browser unprompted. After getting that wrapper I’m all better. If it isn’t affecting you guys then no harm no foul. I used it for a little while then it started getting all shifty on me.
Yeah I didn’t like what the program did while it was opened, so if I couldn’t have it work without it running all the time I would’ve used a different driver.
Wish I could use my D-pad with Strider. Game by default makes you use your analog stick on your pad and there’s no in-game options to change it. :tdown:
I’ve been playing Strider on my D-pad. I used this guide to learn how to rebind my buttons on the config file
I have a really hard time playing any sort of platforming game on KB, aside from Stealth Bastard for some reason. That game worked for me perfectly well on keyboard
The only 2D side scrolling game Ive played with a keyboard is Capsized. That shit makes my hands hurt so bad. Controller is best for those type of games I say.
