I just purchased the bundle. These are the DRM free versions of the games. There no excuse for anyone to not buy this.
I have all those games besides Guacamelee, but this is the second most ridiculously GDLK bundle so far (the first being EA surprisingly).
I think more people should give Castlevania: Mirrors of Fate a chance. Itās better than I thought it was going to be, though it could have been a lot better. Personally, Iād give it about a 8/10.
With LoS1 and LoS2 coming out on PC, I figure it wouldnāt be too surprising if MoF got a PC port.
Yeah I scooped up this bundle so fast.
did anybody else get a -75% coupon for rise of the triad and shadow warrior?
Iāll trade you coupons.
25% off Broken age
What Joshkaz said, but a lot of times game saves save themselves to C/Users/PC name/My Documents
I had a non Steam game installed(vanilla Sacred 2) then I got Sacred 2: Gold on Steam and my save carried right over because my save data was in that specific folder and a lot of Steam games/PC games in general put temp files/screenshots/save data/etc in that specific place on your HDD.
I havenāt had to uninstall mountains of games like that, but you should move the mods out of the folders, just in case an uninstall takes everything out including your mods that werenāt part of the original install. & saw ebay today had a front page Samsung SSD 120 Gigs for $90 from tigerdirect
I have a 500 Gig, not solid state portable HDD, and you can run games from it just fine. Donāt know if thatās a good price for a SSD, or if thatās small.
Scratch that, thatās an internal, not external on the ebay link.
I donāt need the Giana Sisters or the Guacamelee keys. Who wants?
Iāll take the sisters one
hand me Gaucamelee if you dont mind
You fuckers are fast. Done.
Iām this close to buying shadow warrior because viscera cleanup detail MP.
I gotta wait till next friday to hit up this Bundle. Yes I am that broke lol.
99% of PC games, not just from Steam, will not delete saved games (and maybe configuration files) when uninstalled; also many of them will explicitly ask if you want to delete these saves. Just to be sure you may locate the save files and back them up until you see what happens.
Mods are a different story, depending on how they are installed. Classic-type mods work by overwriting the original files, so if you ininstall the game they will be deleted as if they were the originals. If the game has official support for mods and keeps them in a separate folder it will probably ask you if you want to delete them, I suppose (or you may back up the mod folder easily). (when I manually download a mod of the overwriting type I use to keep a copy of the zipped mod just in case I reainstall and want to apply the mod again).
Also, if you want to delete a Steam game and be able to reinstall it later without downloading it again you can tell Steam to make a backup of the game. Then you may take it to an external drive or burn it on a disk for when you need it. On top of that, the backup uses to be significantly smaller than the uncompressed game.
And I learned something today. I had no idea this was possible, and reaffirms my decision to get an external drive.
How easy is it to configure a boot drive if I bought an smallish internal SSD?
I got a 75% off coupon for shadow warrior that I donāt need if you want it.
Been playing Might and Magic X. Iām liking it a lot for its old-schooly-ness, but you can tell it was made by a fairly inexperienced studio.
Itās very poorly optimized and not meant to be run on a 32 bit system. Unless you run a workaround so the game can use more than 2 gigs of ram the 32 bit OS version will crash on you constantly. And thatās disregarding the fact that you wonāt have access to high resolution textures and half the sound wonāt run.
I want to recommend it because I love the style, but Iām kinda torn. The leveling progression is very well paced, which is something sorely lacking in most RPGs nowadays. Although mostly hack n slash, the writing is above average and it most def feels like a Might and Magic.
They may still patch it, but I hope it sells enough so that the studio gets proper fundingnext time.
7.5/10
@drizzt360 Was wondering how you ādownsampleā to 4K in another thread(I didnāt want to derail it) so hereās a quick guide:
https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-4k-resolution-downsampling-unofficial-tutorial
You pretty much just go to your NVidia control panel and create a custom resolution and hope it works on your 720-1080p monitor. AMD cards just implemented this semi-recently too, so itās not NVidia GPU exclusive anymore.
Just keep in mind you need a pretty beast GPU with high memory if you expect to get good performance downsampling games @ a higher resolution than 1080p.
