The PC gaming Thread. Steam/GOG/Origin/Etc. Game/Software/Hardware talk

So, playing Long Live the Queen and I was doing well… Then I got killed. My reaction, “Did I seriously just get killed going to this bitch’s party?”

I think the best puzzler since Puzzle Fighter and Tetris Attack is Critter Crunch:

The gameplay is similar to classic puzzle games, but unique enough to keep things interesting. You play this anime hamster thing, swallowing bugs and then spitting them back at eachother to create food chains and score combos. When you collect enough food, you regurgitate it into your offsprings’ mouths. It has a lot of added layers to it; depending on the circumstances, different bugs will eat eachother and start a combo on their own. There’s Mario Kart-style powerups found mid-game which change the rules, and there’s co-op in addition to versus, so you can work with a friend against a double-wide playfield. Like Tetris Attack, there’s a singleplayer campaign with a map, a puzzle mode, and extensive tutorials. Besides having a lot of options it’s just a really strategic game on par with the best of them, with a lot of new layers. Highly recommended.

RE: Humble Bundle. Added more games mainly F.E.A.R. so it has the full trilogy now and MK Arcade collection. https://www.humblebundle.com/

RE: Puzzle games - I’m partial to Super Puzzle Platformer Deluxe myself. Its the same falling blocks and like colors disappear but you play a character standing on them and shoot to break them. Blocks drop crystals which are used to power up your character’s mode of attack, there is like 10-11 styles to choose from. So you try to break as many blocks as possible while leaving enough for you to stand on and not hit the spikes below

I just bought the WB bundle yesterday. Awesome shit. I’ll have to check how good the UMK3 port is on PC to see if it’s worth redeeming.

I got the bundle and I’m trying to redeem the steam codes but it saying my log in info is incorrect when it;s the same stuff I use to log in.

I hadn’t heard of Super Puzzle Platformer Deluxe, I’ll have to give that a try.

Theres a free, less robust (3 styles, 1 level) version on adultswim games here if you wanna get a feel for it.

Did you link your Steam account with Humble Bundle? They changed their policy with steam codes recently

I just bought the F.E.A.R. collection for $13 during Halloween sale FUUUUUUUU!

Didn’t know SRK GD had a pc thread…So im about to send out my order at Newegg. Here is my build, any changes i should do? Cant seem to find any deals on the ram, what would you guys recommend instead of the one i have now on the list.

Will be mostly a video editing/gaming setup. I was also thinking doing that eyefinity thing w/ 3 monitors. Is that worth doing? This is my first build & last time i did legos was my Kreo Starscream & that didn’t go to well haha…

You got the skrilla, get a big ass 4k monitor. Fuck that tri monitor shit.

I’m trying to link my account but it says my info is wrong.

Both these games were designed for a pad to control them, without UI mods installed skyrim pc is horrible MKB.
That said if anyone thinks bethesda games are better on console than PC they’re missing out and don’t know how to bethesda.

RIP old hardware, amen to no good emulators. Long live volgar.

Oh dammit, I didn’t expect WB to add more games to beat the average… Now I wish HB didn’t change their policy where if you didn’t beat the average but paid early you got the addons too… Really all I’m interested is the MKAK hmmm

System Shock 2 for $2.50 on humble store, hmmmm now that’s more interesting…

Retroarch beats the shit out of original hardware. Keeping CRT screens around is for losers, and if you don’t have a CRT, you’re not getting the authentic experience out of original hardware. Not to mention, Retroarch’s NTSC and CRT shaders look better than the real thing, cause they emulate the way we prefer to remember them, as opposed to the ugly truth.

Not to mention, the original controllers were not always the functional best way to play the original game. For 2D games, a Saturn or Genesis 6-button is generally superior to an NES or SNES pad.

So at the end of the day, why would you want the original hardware, when it takes up more space, looks worse, and plays worse than having every game ever on PC with the gamepad of your choice?

Uh oh…

Got dat WB bundle. Willing to give Scribblenauts and both Batmans since I own them already. Humble Bundle’s gifting has become a bit tedious so I have to send a link to redeem.

Not having Gnalvl on your ignore list is your fault, you deserve to be subjected to his shit mind as it diarrheas all over SRK forums.

Also GoG is having a huge sale with new free titles and limited quantity discounts, think steam flash sales on pcp.

How do you gift things after the HB? I want to get it for Asylum, FEARs and Scribblenauts but everything else is giftable but Hawkingbird said it was weird keeping some and gifting some now.

Man, I just give people th codes.

Below the last code has a link that says Gifting instructions. I’m guessing you have to send them a URL. Then the receiver has verify their email. I’m not exactly sure though.
