Yo, Pillars of Eternity a month away and I’m getting more and more hype with the new info being shown (like the music, gameplay, etc).
I hope I’m not disappointed too hard. I want to have faith since last year was a damn nice year for gaming, and 2015 so far has been great. I MUST HAVE FAITH!!!
I’m debating whether or not I should get more than 2 GB of memory on the card.
The 960 does a fine job. A lot of people will tell you in that price range you can probably find something a bit better in the AMD range of cards but the trade off is the power consumption and the heatoutput. Also the driver issue (has AMD finally resolved their absolutely horrible drivers?)
100% agree with valaris. An AMD solution (R9 280x for same price point) should give you better performance. It really depends on your system, games you play, and resolution to really see a difference though.

I don’t know how I came across it, but a game called There Came an Echo just came out on Steam.
Game looks really fuckin’ interesting. Not sure about the story, but the whole old RTS RPG element has me really intrigued and how it’s performed in real time. Upon looking at gameplay footage, I felt the game may be a little “slow”, but if the action gets more hectic with no Baldur’s Gate type pause in the game, I can see why the speed is the way it is.
Worst case, the music is really good (just like every indie game).
