does anybody here use dual monitors? I was wondering if you can play a game in full screen on one monitor and then the other screen can be used for something else (youtube, internet, etc).
Yeah, a game will even default to your main monitor if youāve got two monitors set up as seperate ones. Your second monitor will remain showing your desktop and you can just drag whatever you want to it.
Iām quite sure that is possible though. Given your PC is powerful enough, just run a sandboxed instance of the same game and connect to eachother via VLAN. If youāre talking about that being an integrated feature in games, like splitscreen for consoles, then the developers are to blame for not implementing that.
There are a few ways of doing it. My friendās rig run two simultaneous instances of windows so that he and his girlfriend can play Coop together, on 2 different screens on the same rig.
Generic mouse/kb > your overpriced mouse/kb combo that will start having issues one year in. B)
I need to buy a new GPU. My monitor was more expensive than my GPU or processor. I actually was thinking about spending a bit more money on it, I could have got a 144HZ with no input lag, but if I did Iād have definitely needed a new GPU for dat 144HZ. That and, I donāt know how Iād feel going back to games that run at > 30 FPS.
Edit: I think my best bet is to wait until later in the year when the new line of GPUās get released.
Valkyria chronicles fucks up my second monitor and boy could I use a break from watching the enemyās slow ass turn go by. Everything else has worked perfectly fine though.
I type on a āmembraneā keyboard at work and it feels just terrible. Typing at home on my totally justifiable mechanical keyboard is 100 % better.
i use microsoft sidewinder 6 for keyboard and mx518 for mouse. i recently found out that there are different models of the 518 which sucks because the newer models are not as good as the old one, different slide points, wheel feel, and actually less accurate. i had a really old version and when i bought a current version of the 518 it was immediately apparent.
My Razer Black Widow (4~ years) and my friggen CM Sentinel Mouse (5 years) are still running just fine and dandy with only issue is needing to clean the damn things more often, thank you very much.
Iām about 6 years into my Filco Majestouch keyboard (brown keys). Everyone I know seems to have a fine mechanical keyboard really. And I just bought a CM Storm Alcor to round it out.
Iāve been on PC for about 4 years and Iām still using controller 99% of the time. Alot of the stuff I look at on the web advertise the mouseās sensitivity, so when it comes to DPI and video games, what do you all consider as the goldilocks zone for real PC gaming?
Hey guys. You know that thing that worthless teenage punks do where they pull over to pick someone up and as soon as they get close to the passenger door, they drive forward several feet and stop, wait for them, and do it again and again, and they laugh while they are doing it? Somebody needs to make a GIF illustrating this: http://www.pcgamer.com/gta-5-delayed-again-on-pc/
Only with the Razer product, really. Most other gaming brands are far more reliable. This low end Logitech model has already lasted me longer than some budget generic keyboards Iāve owned, and thatās not even a high quality mechanical keyboard.
Dude trust me I know what itās like to be poor, but you really do get what you pay for when it comes to higher quality PC peripherals as long as you do your research.
Physical response feedback is very good, even for just typing. I know writers who swear by their mechanical keyboards. For gaming, itās precision. That .008āth of a second means a lot when it gets translated through your brain + Internet lag. Iāve been in many a situations where that tiny bit of a speed advantage would have won me the fight.
That said, 99% of the gaming devices out there are bullshit. Do your homework. Stay away from Razor (the brand, not you, man.
). And donāt pay more than you think you should. 110 bucks is a lot for a fucking keyboard. There are products out there at the $70 range that are just as good or better.
