Edit: FYI since the review mentions FAN noise more than cooler noise, you can easily replace the fans for some noctua’s or something.
that’s what i was more concerned about actually the fan noise, that’s what is making all the noise in my rig hahaha. maybe i can get away with just getting a new fan (or 2 i have to thoroughly inspect to see the culprit) like the nocuta you mention (they seem to have really strong reviews) instead of liquid cooling since i dont really overclock.

You should take a look in your case and see if it is really dirty in there. If the fans are caked in dust, cleaning them off should help them run quieter. You can also have a look in the bios and see if it is possible to set them to run slower (if your temps are good).
It’s one notch under a GTX 970. Personally I think that’s a very good price but can someone with more AMD knowledge confirm?

Pretty sure that’s way over kill for a 280x. I know that’s the official Sapphire spec… But it’s a bit much. From looking around it looks like a quality 600w should be enough of you aren’t overclocking.
I’m definitely not overclocking. I run my PC just fine with a 600W power supply and not once had a power issue. It’s been nearly five years and it’s still going strong. I don’t want to have to replace it if there’s no need for it.
it’s been loud from the beginning and i clean out the pc once in a while. i had not thought of lower the speed of the fan or even knew it was possible. i might have to give that a spin. thanks!

Some fans, just because of the shape of the blades are loud. Just for the hell of it, I repurposed a big cpu fan I had laying around. Pushes a ton of air, but is noisy.
