The PC gaming Thread. Steam/GOG/Origin/Etc. Game/Software/Hardware talk

Yea I’m thinking about buying it I never upgraded a computer before I just want to make sure I do it right before I break something. I bought a prebuilt computer does that make it harder to upgrade?

Yeah it usually does. You just need to check and make sure your motherboard supports PCI-E 3.0, if it does, you’re golden.

I’m glad I looked it up before I bought it my motherboard doesn’t support the PCI-E 3.0 damn it. Oh well lesson learned no more buying premade computers. I still might buy it tho its a damn good deal and the three free games are awesome as well. Maybe I can upgrade my motherboard?

I’m pretty sure you can do that, yeah. As long as a new Motherboard fits in that PC case you should be golden.

That current mobo only supports AMD processors too. You can maybe re-use your power supply and RAM, then just snag a new MOBO that supports Intel processors(if you want to rock an Intel processor, that is) and PCI-E 3.0 GPU’s.

Pretty cool…

If you join the group and get in the beta hit me up for some of that sweet sharing. Drizzt519

Steam Introduces Family Sharing Beta Program

Very cool. I honestly don’t play very much on my PC, so I plan on sharing my games with one of my closest friends. Only drawback is that a good number of them are GFWL titles, so those probably can’t be shared unless they get patched (no third party keys).

Nice stuff. My brother and I have been wanting a feature like this so we can share our steam games for years. It’s a pain to change back and fourth from accounts.

Anyone want Eets Munchies, and/or Trine 2: Complete story? Just got it from the Humble bundle and I only wanted BL and Mark of the Ninja.

For anyone that ever complained about modern games being too easy and/or if you like action p,at formers than buy Volgarr, the Viking it comes out on Steam on the 13th, and post your impressions in the dedicated thread.

You guys ready for the next step in wireless motion tracking controller technology?

Hurry now if you want to get on the early backer deals. Things are moving FAST.

@sonicabid the new Rott patch is now live if you wanna get on steam and download it. It’s a 2gb update

New maps in RoTT are awesome.

The Shadow Warrior reboot is out on the 26th. While the insanely fast-paced gameplay looks to be gone(mainly the runspeed) I’ll give the game a shot anyway. I’ll most likely stream it as well.

New trailer looks cool, though. “FISH PHYSICS!” “GRATUITOUS SEX!”

Ooh, this should be interesting.

The streaming feature looks great, but how bad or noticeable would latency issues be with fighting and music games?

The usual setup will be from computers from inside the same house so not much lag.

Yeah, but some people select certain monitors and TVs just to avoid delay on their games. I can’t imagine the streaming delay being less than that but I just don’t understand the tech tbqh.

^We’ll probably get more details soon overall. But if you are worried about that much lag or any drop in quality in your gaming you probably will want to be at your main computer anyway.

i just played through the first 2 acts of Kentucky Route 0 (the 3rd one has not been released yet) and it’s groundbreaking. a must play for adventure game fans and anyone who appreciates creativity in games.
