LoL kills games even if they’re not even Mobas but perceived as one at first glance.
Bloodline champions was a isometric perspective 3v3 arena game with WASD movement, mouse to aim with all skill shots. Gameplay took inspiration from WoW arena, Quake, and bits of fighting games via Super meter for Supers and EX abilities. Also to an extent very very similar to Gundam vs series in fundamentals.
So yeah nothing like dota or the like right? Well since its top down and it’s a “arena” game people called it a moba and that got mixed into LoL. People judged it and compared it to LoL even if the objectives are nowhere near alike.
On top of horrible casual retention because it was a absolutely unforgiving team game if you fuck up positioning, go in too hard and get punished, terrible at dodging shots and get hit by everything, line of sight your healer, etc…, you just drop instantly and your team loses that round
Yeaaahhh.
Extraordinarily tough to compete anywhere near that market.
That’s the bad thing about monopoly games like LoL and WoW, they completely shut out all other competing games that may even be better than them to the point where they can’t even compete and stay alive even if you still want to play them.
People are so close-minded about games these days.
The game is now a vegetable at the moment with very little players like 20 or so right now, however the game is still up and f2p on steam.
It’s a small game to download fortunately… but i wouldn’t blame anyone if they don’t want to get into the game in the state that it’s in now unless you’re someone that’s an enthusiast to the arena genre.
Pour one out for dead games that are more entertaining than LoL I guess.
Reinstalled, it’s so stiff compared to Dawngate. Ping is part of that I’m sure, but the early mana costs as well. Dawngate had the early game figured out so well, ton of interesting lane combinations, fast and aggressive laning with plenty of chances to roam and make plays. I can be to the opposite lane in just a bit longer than it takes bot lane to walk to dragon in LoL.
EA realized they’re not gonna be able to compete with LOL and DOTA, and Heroes of the Storm is gonna eat up that casual market when it drops, so they pulled out early
So I have pretty much decided that if the gtx 770 does not go under 200 around black friday then I will just get the gtx 970
Question for you guys who have watched new cards come and go, is there any reason to wait until after Christmas to buy the 970 or should I just buy it shortly after black friday if I don’t get the 770.
I mean do things like rebates come around this shortly after launch or any other type of specials?

I see newegg sells them brand new for like 185 or so but these are around 69 on amazon. Can they be listed as new on amazon even they arent? I am thinking about getting 2 of them
Still pissed offf about the sad state of computer displays. I want a high quality 24’ 2560 x 1440 monitor. Is that so much to ask? People who sit close to their monitors and don’t have a lot of desk space could really benefit, but nope! It’s 1080p unless you want to get a 27’ or larger. I miss the Sony Trinitron 17’ days gaming at 1600x1200 at 75 hz. I blew my old one out gaming on it at that unsupported configuration for so long. I could have sworn that it actually went up to 85 hz at that resolution too, but it was a mess. See able, but not anything you’d want to game in.
I got a samsung 850 256 gb ssd, and I’ve been having a hell of a time trying to clone my hdd to it and make it bootable. Probably just going to bite the bullet and do a clean install. Its just a pain to download and reinstall everything. Especially all those 30+ gb games.
Also I’ve been looking into getting an ultra wide monitor. I’d like to wait for prices to drop a bit…but then again…maybe 4k gaming will take off and there would be some nice incentives to get a good sli set up…but given how consoles are barely getting 1080p that probably won’t be any time soon.
