damn, too slow :frowning:

Sega said they’ll be adding a lot of options in the PC port of VC, allowing you to adjust the frame rate to 60 FPS and setting the game to 1080p.
As much as I hate SWBeta’s fav game in the world ā€œLast Remnantā€, it was a really good PC port. Everyone talked shit about it being a bad port, but it was literally the only way to play it (playing that shit on console was a nightmare and near impossible). But it ran smooth 60 FPS and 1080p on my old 650 GTX Ti with a shitty CPU running like 2.8 Ghz (wasn’t even in the i series), so I dunno.

And heads up; Transistor is on Sale right now. 50% off for the Steam Halloween Sale.

Picked up Fallout 3 and New Vegas from the sale. First time getting into the series so I’m interested.

Halloween sale has begun on steam!

dem dead prez in yall wallets is gonna ghost.

ā€œBwuhahahahaha!!!ā€-Gabe Newell

Hated those games.

Be prepared for:

Shit graphics.
Shit enemy/player animations.
Non-existent enemy hitstun OR reactions.
A huge ā€œopen worldā€ that is 99% empty, or 99% copy-pasted areas(including dungeons!)
Green/grey/brown colors exclusively to match the dated 2003-era graphics.
Slow as hell gameplay.
Bugs/glitches/crashes out the ass.

Not all hope is lost. For some reason, this game gets a pass because it has a dialogue wheel option similar to the one in Mass Effect. So, because of this, 99.9% of people who’ve played these games disregard every single garbage aspect about them because they get 1 of 4 options to choose from to reply to ā€œhey, do you want this helmet?ā€

A. Yes, I want that helmet.
B. No. I don’t want that helmet.
C. Nigga, you gay.
D. The fuck kind of quest line do I need to do for it?

Clicking on related videos, holy shit… you’re brought into some strange fuckin universe. I can’t tell if some of these videos are funny or not.

Also, @Sonicabidā€Œ, I hear a lot of good things about New Vegas like it’s the second coming of Jesus.
Thing is, I’ve never played Part 3 or New Vegas (I’ve only played part 1 and 2), so I don’t know anything about the 3D ones. But what exactly makes New Vegas so special?

Isn’t most of these problems just fixable with mods? Anyways thanks for the insight but I’ll be the judge of it.

Not sure if Fallout 3 is redeemable, but even without mods new vegas is an improvement. It’s like Skyrim, people should only get it on pc just to access the mods (which make it much better)

i agree with abid about fallout new vegas, the newer gen fallouts are SO overrated imo.

the evil within released a demo on steam that has the first 3 levels, downloaded it to give a try, was going to buy the game anyway but was going to wait for a discount, hoping for one on the thanksgiving sale or christmas one.

im outi

Fallout 3 and New Vegas have optimization problems with CPU performance. For some weird-ass reason, these games were designed to utilize one core, instead of multiple cores. For anyone about to play these games, look up how to fix this problem so you can reduce the crashes by 2%.

Whats the threads opinion on darksiders? It’s on Halloween sale on steam and i’ve heard comparisons between it and legend of zelda although im unsure if thats possible given it’s a hack and slash sort of game (judging by what i’ve seen)

I loved darksiders and yes it’s very akin to Zelda. It’s even got block pushing puzzles. It is a hack and slash but very puzzle driven.

Thinking about getting VC, heard good things about it. Gotta do some research to make sure it’s not all anime waifu kawaii desu or whatever the fuck. Really I just want them to port VF5 for us now, my Xbox is shot and I can’t play my copy anymore.

Feel free to do your research so you can judge for yourself, but I will say that ā€œit’s not.ā€ It has waifu-bait & some corny slice of life stuff, but overall it’s nowhere near the levels of NIS or Atlus games.

EDIT: That goes for the PS3 original. The PSP-only sequels might be a different story.

I’ve only got experience with Darksiders 2, and from that game, the comparisons are sound. It’s God of War with a Legend of Zelda driven design. The combo system is surprisingly solid and allows creativity with your attacks. The game is made for a controller, though, so if you don’t have one, get one.

Signed up for the Evolve Big Alpha with a junkmail address. Here’s some codes (redeem them in Steam):

Alpha ends this Sunday.

EDIT: Here’s one more:

Frys has the i5 4 690k for 199.99 right now.

So, apparently, if you’ve purchase Xcom: Enemy Unknown on Steam, you get the alpha for Evolve straight up. And looking through my library, there it is. Interesting…
