To be fair, as an OC model the msrp was like $450 (though the OC isn’t really worth the extra scratch, it’s a beggars can’t be choosers situation).

Buddy of mines who has more money then sense got a 3090. I’m like dude currently those suckers are aiming at $2500. What are you playing that you need that much GPU? All over Reddit folks are downgrading from 3090 because the 10% gains aren’t worth the price they paid. Granted he did jump on the PC train last February and also donated his 2080ti to his brother but still!

I hope he upgraded his monitor game because OLED looks nice but man that burn in risk is pretty darn high. This cat has a 10K sound system or so he claims. CL dude reneged on his $400 RTX 2070 (Was a Zotac Mini anyways so I don’t feel too bad).
Found an EVGA RTX 2070 BLACK GAMING for $440 on eBay today and picked that up instead.
Mining is ruining prices again, it looks like I can get almost $250 for my GTX 1060 6GB based on eBay completed auctions, this is nuts!
I’m sure gamers are gonna clean up on cheap GPU’s when the current mining wave finally crests, but when that’ll be, who knos

It’s pretty crazy. I did pick up a new card, but only because I lucked into it at MSRP. Other than Cyberpunk basically everything I actually play wouldn’t be any less satisfying back on my 1060.
