Watching streamers play the new Mount & Blade game that’s in Early Access. Looks okay, game play looks semi-decent … except it’s $45 on discount.

Cool…
I want to make the jump to a wireless keyboard. There isn’t a lot of options when it comes to mechanical keyboards. Logitech has the G915 but that’s too rich for my blood. Are there any cheaper options?
I was actually looking at some few weeks ago, but in the end I decided to go wired because of the available options.
The Logitech G613 is prob the best I found and was on sale for $60 for awhile. Downside is there’s no backlight for the keys, but I guess because of that the battery life is really good.
Not having a backlight is a dealbreaker. I need one. There’s the corsair K63 but it doesn’t have a numpad.

Cool…
Neat…
I OC’d my cpu last night and ran aida64 for stability test overnight. Seems fine I think? If it wasn’t stable, would I get a message or something?
Damn Hard Drive gave me a scare today, as it disappeared completely.
It working fine now, after coming back home.
However, I want to future proof my system by getting an 1-2TB SSD but those things are $150 and more!!
If it wasn’t stable your computer would lock forcing a restart or blue screen.
You should be able to get a 1TB SSD for less than $100 if you know where to look. This one is $100

I hate KB’s that light up. It’s distracting as hell, haha.
You should opt for a Samsung drive. They beat out all other brands in benchmarks from what I’ve seen. I was going to go for a Western Digital one, but there was a Samsung drive that was faster AND it was cheaper than the WD one, so I went with Samsung.
I have 250 GB SSD as the C drive for startup boot and small scale stuff.
I might comp that once a few bills are taking care off.
Stimulus money came in, but my wife shot down both GPUs I wanted to get (Asus Strix RTX 2080 Super/RTX 2070 Super). Ended up spending around $400 at Newegg on a second M.2 drive (Intel 660p 1TB that’ll get used for games storage), 32gb of DDR4-3200; and some RGB. Dropped another $35 at Amazon for the 120mm fan I forgot to buy at Newegg, and a RGB splitter.
Checked this morning since I woke up early due to having heartburn from last night’s dinner … Newegg shipment has been delayed out of Edison, NJ. Godfuckingdammit.
Edit: Spoke with someone from their “support” team, and this will be more than likely the last time I use Newegg for anything. I’m having second thoughts about my order with them now due to this issue, and I’m seriously considering turning the order around and having it refunded. I know it’s not their fault, and that it’s the carrier that’s at fault here due to COVID fucking everyone’s shit up. I’m gonna look and see if I can get these things from Amazon either at the same cost, or cheaper due to my current Prime trial.
I’m prob gonna pick up a RX 5700 XT with this check lol.
Question about ram… is it better to do 4x 8gb sticks, or 2x 16gb sticks? I’m currently using 2x 8gb, but considering shooting up to 32gb too.
It really doesn’t matter. It’s a question of if you want all your ram slots filled up or not.
Since I’m on Ryzen, apparently it’s really bad about downclocking RAM when all the slots are filled. That’s what mainly factored into my decision to get a 2x16gb kit.
Would anybody here be able to help me purchase a Desktop for under $500? Or at least close to that price range.
This vid just came out a couple weeks ago. Pretty good guideline. You can prob save money getting some cheaper parts.
