Fuck this noiseā€¦

I think I will wait and see how crackable it ends up being on PC. I got tired of the constant nerfs of that game on PS4, really killed the fun for me.

I can finally play the game!

Curious, what was nerfed?

Got a question, I have a MSI laptop with a GTX 1070, i7 8750h, if I connect it to an external 4k monitor do you think I could enjoy 4k gaming at a decent frame rate? I also worry my laptop will burn

They probably do a sweeping Diablo III/PoE type balance change across the board and nerf things that are considered too ā€œoverpowered.ā€

ā€¦In a game where thereā€™s no real competitive play, itā€™s all about killing monsters and getting loot.

It depends on the game and what FPS youā€™re aiming for. You could probably go for a 30 FPS/4k locked in most titles. 60/4k wouldnā€™t be realistic in the most modern games I donā€™t think, but if youā€™re playing older titles you for sure can blast them @ 60/4k.

Iā€™ve played 30fps games on ps4 it looks so blurry and it lacks clarity. Especially Destiny 2 on ps4, I canā€™t see shit lol. I donā€™t know if that will change in 4k.

With a 1070 you will be better off going 1440P.

The game had several nerfs to different builds/guns/setups that were considered too strong and they happened quickly and often. Imagine working for a solid two weeks for the gear for a load out to have it nerfed the next day. I could see if this was a competitive vs game like Overwatch you would want to have some kind of balance but the fact that you can grind for loot just to have it made worthless via update really made it kind of pointless to continue to grind for anything. IMO they should have just buffed the characters that sucked and left well enough alone. BL1 had overpowered builds and thatā€™s what made it fun to play.

So now, I have a crapton of Idea Factory games because I spent $10 for the bundle on Fanatical.

3 games( MH: Iceborne, RDR2, AND BOTW) that pretty much will go down as some of the greatest of the console generation and arguably all time, and Iā€™m able to run them all on one machine at 60FPS and customize them with mods!!!

This is the power of the PC Master Race!!

Thanks to the Corona virus cancelling everything thereā€™s going to be a shortage on PC hardware soon. China is still in shutdown so nothing is being manufactured. If your planning an upgrade I suggest you get your shit now before the price hikes happen.

Agreed. I saw that SSD prices are spiking due to virus/new consoles wanting SSD drives so snag those upgrades while you can.

planning on getting my GPU upgrade probably next week and giving the missus my RTX 2070. Havenā€™t decided yet whether or not to upgrade to the 2070 Super or just say fuck it and get a 2080 Super ā€¦

edit: rolled credits on both the Modern Warfare remake and Wolf II: TNC yesterday. I also need to finish playing through Doom 2016 before Eternal comes out in a couple of weeks.

Might as well get the jump on it. I have 4 year old stuff inside my rig, which is still holding up okay.

got a source on the shortage?

I watched the latest Hardware News from Gamers Nexus, and theyā€™ve acknowledged supply chain issues; but nothing along the lines of shortages on components.

edit:

No official source. Itā€™s more like seeing whatā€™s going to happen knowing that factories still havenā€™t resumed operations.

I donā€™t think itā€™ll get as bad as 2-3 years ago, when the mining craze was going on. But weā€™ll see.

Iā€™m not sure if I want to order anything from Asia right now, so Iā€™ll hold off until production ramps up
