Me and another dude just had a very long and unorganized discussion in the comments, you wouldn’t get anything out of it.
It isn’t a comeback mechanic. It will only be used when you get a wallbounce (or another undiscovered way to combo into it like maybe a stagger) and your opponent is under 50% aka instant death for them aka stupid mechanic is stupid.

your essentially giving up the round if you don’t win with it, being able to combo/punish with it doesn’t make it stupid at all…considering the user will lose the round if that combo/punish doesn’t KO. 50% health and below is already the deadzone in this game already as CrossArts do around 40% by themselves(with the added bonus of removing grey health)…saying Pandora is stupid for killing off a character with 50% or below is silly…
it would be best if everyone just stopped comparing it to pre-existing comeback mechanics.
You also lose all your meter when you use pandora so it might only be effective on the last round or on some rare occasion, the second.
Pandora is probably gonna be extremely team/character specific. Teams that can combo into it and characters than can do “infinites” with unlimited ex moves are probably gonna have the most use of it.
Pandora freeze into instant super against a fireball users and pandora as a timerscam. Player 1 uses pandora, player 2 uses pandora + a super with long startup cinematic or unavoidable hitstun/blockstun is like 9-15seconds.
I get the feeling Pandora will be patched later, maybe it slows down during Supers.
Pandora aint no joke, if you have ex wallbounce and equip the right gems you’ll get good mileage out of it… it isn’t meant to be activated raw and hand you a win, this aint x-factor… and miracle touchdown pandoras aren’t going to happen as much as ultras… don’t you lose all your meter after pandora? You have consequences for just throwing it out hoping for that 10%…

It seems like he’s the only one that can’t get this guaranteed Pandora-amplified super off a wallbounce. If it’s anywhere as powerful as that video suggests, that’s really going to hurt him.
Seth Killian said that Pandora mode’s only grants refillable super meter in the latest build. Of course you could use the gem that gives 30% damage boost when entering Pandora mode, combined with the gem that grants -40% on super meter usage when in Pandora mode, but it seems to be a little weak if you have to use the gems on Pandora, that you could have used for something else, especially with the 25% health restriction to activate it.
Also, the super meter does not refill itself while in the animation of an ex move or a super.

Yeah, but that’s the problem. You don’t have to activate pandora until you get the wallbounce and at that point, you’re guaranteed the (pandora) super.
With a throw (or throw super), you’re just going to get lamed out.
Once again, not if it’s a punish. That means it’s guaranteed.
I think my reading comprehension failed me so thanks for your patience. o_O It does seem far more limited than other teams who can use that combo, of course.

I believe this too. I just don’t see Capcom keeping a (IMO) crappy mechanic and leaving it for awhile.
IN THAT CASE…if they patch the pandora timer during supers. they might as well patch cross assault too and make both characters controlled by player 1
Oh I’m hoping they patch Cross Assault too to make it last longer. I don’t see any point of it whatsoever except equaling out each partners life bar. Other than that… That mechanic is a just no to me. Sadly it was the main mechanic that got me into this game.

Desk says that it’s more of an auto-refill like it is in training mode. The question is going to be how fast it refills for this to happen.
Pandora’s auto refill was lame in the gem build i played…it would not charge if was walking or if i was doing a normal or special move…so to pandora punish(which i only landed once) i had to have 2 stock to being with, maybe this will change.
and no Pandora doesn’t ignore the games juggle limits like the # of Wall and Ground bounces.
