well, did you bother paying attention to where the wires were hooked up before? i dont mess with t5 horis so i dont know the pcb, but i would think it would be pretty self explanatory, i could be wrong tho =(
yeah that is my problem, hence my other post Iâm usually pretty detailed about this stuff but i blew it lol, and didnt pay attention. I will figure it out thanks for the help though.
well as long as you know where the contacts for the directionals are, you could always trial and error to find out which is up, down, left, and right?
Are original PSX digital-only pads really worse compatability-wise compared to PSX dual-shock controllers?
stud: i never had problems with non dual shock pads, whether its ps2 games or converters. no problems ever. some people say ds pads have higher compatibility rate with the 2nd rate converters than regular pads. i think you will be fine with either. i just recommend official sony brand pads over anything else tho
oh really, didnât know that. Official it is!
Well I tried that and only one I could get working was left lol
so its possible the stick I acquired is busted or the T5 PCB is busted. I may hav e to buy another or what not
Hey devilsfang,
I tried to go pick up some 5.6k ohm resistors, but i wasnât sure which wattage i was supposed to get â 1/2 watt, 1/4 watt, or 1/8 watt â iâm assuming it makes a difference. which one did you pick up for your dc pads?
I got 1/2 watt because thats all they had in 5.6k. 1/4 or 1/8 watt will work even better because the legs should be small enough to fit in the holes in the pcb. It doesnât really matter, theres not enough current running through those resistors to worry about their wattage rating.
I would grab the 1/4 watt personally.
Here are some bad pics, my camera takes shit pictures up close.
yo i hacked this Gravis Gamepad Pro USB pad for the pc. all the buttons work, but i can not press two buttons at the exact same time. i can hold all the buttons at the same time, but simaltaneous buttons dont work. did i wire it incorrectly? ill take a pic of the wiring if its possible that it was because of my wiring.
Crap, I just bought a microcon controller for 360, and in foolish optimism I tried to cut off the thumbstick with a pair of side-cutters, and in the process pretty much destroyed the left thumbstick.
After plugging the pcb into my PC, the x/y axis isnât centered, and jiggles about a bit. If I short the two rightmost points on the little chips in the thumbstick housing, the jiggling stops (I guess they need an actual value), but of course itâs not in the center either.
I guess I need a specific resistance value to bridge these points to get the value centered to fix this - any tips on how to work it out?
Alternatively, is it likely to cause problems/unwanted inputs in game if I just tie the values low (ie thumbstick value is non-centered)? Or does the 360 take the startup value as âcenteredâ (i.e. self calibrates or something?)
Not too worried if itâs to much effort to fix, just money down the drain
Cheers,
âflux
just use a pair of resistors, preferably 5k ohm each. Youâll need four total, two for X axis, two for Y axis. Both resistors get a leg soldered in the middle pin of the pot, and each goes to an outside leg of the pot.
Does anyone know of a good native USB pad (aside from the 360 pad, which I will do if itâs the best option) that posesses a common ground so I can padhack it for use in a dual PCB stick Iâm working on, any help on this would be very much appreciated, just tried messing with a Logitech Digital Precision pad, no dice (doesnât have a common ground so I canât share the ground wire with the PS1 Digital pad in the stick already).

Once again, sorry for crap picture quality. dont have a great camera to picture this. but its good enough. hope this helps other people!
good shit sabre.
i have a question for you guys. is there a was i can order controllers of a certain series online? if so where and how. i keep getting the solderless A series controllers =(
Sorry if this has already been answered but i didnt wanna look through 50 something pages to find it⌠did any one hack this pad yet? the madcatz xbox 360 pad http://www.ebgames.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=42850
was it easy/do-able?
Cheers Toodles, worked a treat. I just used 4.7k ohms, I presume itâs just balancing the resistances thatâs the keyâŚ
In my infinite stupidity when I was removing the triggers off a madcatz 360 pad, I ended up lifting the traces the trigger mechanism was attached too. Is the pad ruined? I can post pictures if need be.
I wanted to know if we have to leave those two things that are on the down left and right of this controller. The things that are connected with the red and black wire. http://i32.tinypic.com/2vc6q6x.jpg Also does anyone have pictures or knows how to hack a psx dulshock series M.
Nope, you can get rid of those things, just rip/cut 'em off. Theyâre what make the pad rumble, which you donât need and probably donât even want in your stick.
