Many different A-Series can possibly work with the solderless hack. The problem is it is impossible to tell with the opaque ones without opening them first.
Ahhh, ok. So, just because itâs a translucent blue doesnât necessarily make it A-Series?
I was told that I needed to put notice for showing a solderless hacking of a PS2 DS controller under this post.
I figured out how to do this a few days ago, and made pictures of the process on my site:

(about half way down under âSolderless Extracted PCBâ)
Good contribution, thank you!
Can I cut the ribbon cable?
Coincidentally I just finished doing a PCB like this. I was hoping when I got it that it would be a solderless PS1 controller, but it wasnât and was kind of fragile. The analog PCB disintegrated and I got worried. But I checked it and it was still working (not so much in analog mode though). So I removed the analog PCB (I donât think I would exactly recommend ripping it off like I did though) and it turned out fine.
Your model looks slightly different from mine, so I cannot be positive.
Hey, this is the PS3 six axis Pinout.
Just mesured the resistance betwene 7&8 and 13&14
7&8 reads 7.7kohm
13&14 reads 8.1kohm
The PCB measurements are.
82x53x20 (hight with thumb sticks cut flush)

i know the info is probably in here somewhere. but 56+ pages is a lot to skim thru, and search is fucked and i cant search for single letters.
âMâ series dual shock ps1 pad. very similar to the A series solderless hack style pcb. i imagine this pcb can be used as a solderless hack as well(?) and if it does, im sure the pinout is different, if its possible, anyone have the pinout?
Hello folks,
1st post here so be gentle :), I searched but couldnât find what I am looking for.
I have a US Tekken 5 board but need to find out where to wire the Universal plug from my Sanwa stick? any help is greatly appreciated.
Post a picture. The M-Series I hacked was nothing like a solderless A series, but there probably are different versions.

craptastic picture, sorry. but yeah, its the same âstyleâ pcb as the A series. the pinout cover is black, instead of white, and its located in a different region on the pcb. i know it can be done via solderless hack. no reason it cant. just wondering if anyone has a pinout chart for this particular pcb
I personally havenât seen that pinout posted. I would start with the spiffy shoes pinout as a guide and try to isolate what is what.
yeah i was planning on just toying with the slots til i found the ground and just go from there⌠i was hoping to get lucky and someone had a layout already, but oh well
Someone should skim through this thread and do a new thread/re-cap like:
Sony
âPS1 Digital H series
-------------Picture and info
âPS1 Digital A Series
-------------Picture and info
âPS1 Dualshock
-------------Picture andinfo
âPS2 Dual Shock A series
âPS3 Dual Shock 3
Xbox 360
âOfficial wired pad
âMadcatz wired
Etc
Maybe one of these times when I have a moment I will try.
you read my mind, cuz i was searching the whole thread pretty much for my info, and was thinking this was taking entirely too long. have someone make a new thread, with all info, and is willing to update the initial post when new info comes around. or atleast telling myself, shoo, or another mod that can edit the initial post for someone to keep it fresh. that would be great
ill work on this.
Ive been neglecting tech recently.
Time to bring the love back<3
finally got around to messing with this pcb and followed the traces. once i get the pad wired up and tested 100%, i will post the pinout. and it doesnt match spiffyshoes A series hack. its similar but some buttons are re-arranged. FYI, this is an M series ps1 DS pad. regular grey color.
anyone?
Thank you but im talking about the PCB it self
