looks like they will fit. alignment needs to be pretty good for it to work. don’t forget that 2 of the switches are rotated 180. I would like to know how these parts are failing so we can understand why they fail so we can prevent failure. car manufacturers will cut a water pump in half after it has died just to see where the weakest link is. maybe we could xray a batch of dead switches while still on the PCB? the side profile would be better cause it will show how the leaves are bent, broken etc…
they do look like they would work but i have no clu if they will. u can always give it a shot by trying to get ur hands on one of them and switch it with the PDP one. if that works than u have ur answer.
Only problem is I’m one-handed, so I can’t actually padhack.
Oh, well u can always ask some one u know to see if they can help u out with this.
Do any diagrams exist of padhacking the ps2 street fighter anniversary pad? Didn’t see one on slagcoin
(I may need to hack one if I can’t fix my mayflash mod lol)
It is on slagcoin.
checked again and i see no mention of the anniversary pad. help me out.
nvm. im at home and read a few pages.
exactly what i needed. thanks
Can I thread my wire through the holes then solder on the back like I would if I was adding a cable to a cthulhu?
When it comes to tech talk, you need to type quite literally as to not leave any alternate interpretations possible.
Thread my wire through What holes?
Could mean…
Screw holes for the where the screws go through the PCB to attach the houseing? Holes you drill yourself?
Solder on the back?
Could mean…
On the back of the buttons signals on the opposite side of the pcb? Do you want to drill holes and then insert wire through from the back?
Like adding a cable to a cthulhu?
Could mean…
You mean like adding wires to the screw terminals? Like adding an outgoing system cable? You want to add cables to dual mod to a cthulhu?
In the picture I quoted, of the 15th anniversary ps2 pad, the several of the points that I need to solder have holes in them. Can I thread my wire through the holes, and solder the wires into place?
u can but i wouldn’t recommend it thou, cause if u apply too much heat to that point when soldering u might left the point off the board and u would have an non-useable solder point for the padhack. i would just use the main points where buttons would make contact with the board.
tigermaskchi, im thinking of using my pdp for a micro hitbox. Do you think I could remove the micro switch’s and wire up some just a lil bigger, or would it be better to just solder the points you have marked from the dpad to the switch’s?
I have been thinking of doing a tripple mod with MC Cthulhu / Chimp SMD / 360 (all of a sudden I feel like playing games on ps2 but need the functionality to use the stick at regular gatherings and such). I am kind of confused as to how I would wire that up though. I have pad hacked / dual modded sticks before just need an idea of how to get this working as neat as possible. I am sure this will need a RJ45 jack for the different types of cables (well just two, PS2/USB). Any help appreciated!
Multi-Console Cthulhu does PlayStation 3.
ChImp SMD does PlayStation 3.
So you not need ChImp SMD.
Multi-Console Cthulhu and Imp v2 and Xbox 360 PCB.
That is all.

That is right! Man for some reason I spaced that MC Cthulhu was originially for ps3 lol. Cool! Much appreciated! Just for my reference if I DID want to do a three part mod in the future, are there any diagrams or anything floating around for that?
Hi guys I’m attempting to pad hack a ps2 dual shock 2 version H for use in a modded arcade stick. After going through the threads I see little to nothing on this specific PCB and would like a little help. My first question is, since I’m soldering to the connectors on the PCB would I have to remove the so called “membrane” and it’s connector from this pad and then solder directly to the pins or just remove the membrane and solder to the connectors? Secondly I would like to keep L3 and R3 functionality and would like to know where the ground for both buttons would be on the PCB as the picture below doesn’t seem to show them. Thanks!

Is there any good free game demo or app on the xbox 360 which will show you how whether all buttons and inputs work?
