*The "padhacking" thread*

well it looks like LT works on the pc control panel app but not… on 360 system:eek: I used the black diodes from your mc chip upgrade kit
the button engages fast but releases slow but not quick as normal do I need to use a smaller diode? are the little glass diode from the Mc upgrade chip kit the same as the black I forget? but this did fix the left analog stick movement it stays central

I have a question about the other trigger (RT) I don’t have a diode on that wiper just a resistor but the button works! I tried it on the 360 The weird thing is when I checked it on the pc app the Z axis barely moves but x and y rotation go full scale but only when pressed since I don’t use the right analog for anything on the stick does it really matter? does it mater if the z axis barely moves for RT? It does work full work
Thanks

Something’s screwy. They’re no need to swap diodes; the blacks actually work better than the clears. Somethings going on you cant see or havent mentioned. Time to post up pics of the pads and the work you’ve done on the triggers.

is there continuity between the two non-wiper trigger pads? There will be some resistance, no more than about 2.5kish ohms, but Im wanting you to verify that there is < 10 ohms between the two.

the resistance looks like that on the left trigger with the resistor removed
the right trigger ground solder spot came off and if I connect it to a regular ground it throws it way off

Is the non-wiper pad of the left trigger pot showing continuity to the non-wiper pad of the right trigger pot?

yes there is continuity between them
sorry must have misread you post

What’s the voltage on those non-wiper pads when plugged in?

none do I need to put the resistors back on

Maybe getting a fightpad is in order?

this is replacement for a brand new fight pad its too big cut it down and I ran into issues

I’m thinking about pulling a 360 pcb from another stick and put this one in one that’s only 6 buttons and I wont need a LT but first do you know if this issue I that posted earlier will be a a real issue

Does anyone know of an alternative solder spot on the Brawlpad/Fightpad for the Guide button?
I’m working with a pad someone else had gotten at, and the signal from the part the button presses down on is pretty well gone…
Rather not have to replace the pcb, as its the only thing I can’t get to work, I don’t really have any room to dig up the trade because its so close to the hole on the front.

Theres a small copper disc right above the guide contact that you can use…looking down at the pad it is above the guide point slightly to the left…“11 o’clock”

Nope, looks like whoever had at this before got at that too and its gone, damn, welp thats bust :frowning: unless I can get at it from the back…

I think you can but it’s fucking MICRO small… 30awg small…

I tired searching for it but came up with nothing so ill just ask.
Does anyone know if the Hori Pad EX2 is hackable, common ground, etc? And does it work for PC?

I’m pad hacking that controller now its common ground I think it needs hex to invert if you want to use triggers
yes pc compatible

cool, thanks.

Power A - Mini Pro EX Controller

Has anyone tested this controller to see if its common ground it would be awesome if it were its tiniest 360 controller I’ve seen and would be perfect small sticks

I might have to pick one at walmart to test it out and return it if its not the buttons light up as well

I plan to dual mod my ps3 TE. First step is to packhack a xbox360 pad. I hope this hasn’t been already asked, but what is the best pad model you guys can advise me ? If it’s possible, an easy to solder and one which I don’t need to invert the triggers. Also I would like to use the 8 attack buttons on my stick. Otherwise can I just pick a wired 360 pad at my nearest shop ? I’m totaly new to soldering and this will be my 1st mod apart modding my TE into an hitbox :stuck_out_tongue:
