i have a non common pcb… i dont think that will work for me. thanks though.

Happ sticks don’t have any traces to cut because the directions all have their own ground. So solder or quick disconnect to the cherry switches…but make sure to get the grounds right for the stick too.

Do you mean having two buttons for the same input? If so it’s very easy, just connect the wire to the pad, then on the other end of the wire, crimp another wire to that wire in a quick disconnect, and then on the end wire put another quick disconnect. Then ground both buttons and they will both activate the same button press.

Thanks a LOT man.

hi…
does anyone know how to deal with the new DH3

Madcatz SE + Playstation 1 Dual Shock A (Late Version)

Help…!!!:wasted:

I need some advice… I wired up the Madcatz 360 SE stick’s pcb with a Playstation 1 Dual Shock A (Late Version). Both are common ground and I hooked everything as it should. I double and triple checked everything again. I was playing it all week long and using it on my 360, my PS3 (had a converter for ps2 to ps3) and also on my Wii (Ps2 to GC converter). I was happy with everything…UNTIL… I was going to play today and I lost use of all the "kick buttons … that is A /B /RT /LT…strange though… A and B still function menu wise , however when in SFIV, it will not kick. Is the PCB bad? I tried the PS3 and xbox360 and the reaction is the same for both. I also tried to set the turbo in xbox 360… all lights came on except RT / LT. Can anyone give me some enlightenment?

Ahh, didn’t see your previous post . I just looked at the big post. Good luck

anyone know where on the HRAP3 pcb i need to solder wires to use the home button with an axisdapter? the home button sits on top of SW2.

The axisdapter as in shinjn’ axisdapter (or toodles version). If so it is pcb (or diy version) that utilizes a flex cable to expose the PS3 sixaxis pcb via a daughter pcb and screw terminals for easy hacking of six axis for wireless sticks

Unless we are not talking about the same things.

i have the axisdapter already running in my hrap3, but im using a rigged up select + start = home button. i removed the hrap control panel because all the buttons were non-functional. i wanted to solder wires to the hrap pcb to connect to the home section of the axisdapter, so i can have a reason to put the control panel back.

edit: OH, well if you figure it out i’d like to know. would like to dual pcb my hrap3 for ps3 and 360

Cool, learn something new everyday.

You problem might be the wiring inside the pcb i know that the playstation 1 dual shock A (Late Version) i have one, the wires it gets loose once in a while even if it is jammed up against the pcb board with the contact stripe, so open it up again and check the wiring,The late version is a solder less padhack which is cool.you might want to hot glue gun it in place when everything is working fine, hope this helps.

thx man, thats exactly this, sorry for my bad english

i guess this is the correct place for me to ask these questions.

damaged board

i have knocked off a small rectangular black thing ?? of the board of my pad whilst trying to remove the trigger assembly (left 1), the rectangular thing has 2 posts on 1 side 1 on the opposite side ? am i screwed ? it looks a bit too small for me to be able to solder back on.

unidentified wired pad

can anyone please tell me what version of pad this is ? is it a common ground or not ?

thank you…

Thanks for the help. I actually did do exactly as you mentioned and did the solder less wire hack and hot glued. It was strange because the A & B buttons funtion for the menus yet not for registering a kick. I got frustrated and just unsoldered the pcb from the SE and now it is exactly the same issue with no PS1 pcb attached. RT/LT do not even work. Again all wiring is attached and tested each sanwa button (I upgraded stick and buttons)… My conclusion is that the PCB is bad. I had this problem with my custom box when I used a official wireless pad and after a while the A/B registered for the menu but not for the kicks…Strange…anyone else experience that?

I guess I am going to gut the pig and rip the xbox innards out and redwire it with a PS1 dual shock pad again. this way it’ll be compatible with the Wii as I can’t wait for the USA version of TvsC as I am playing the Japanese version and don’t know what is on the menu. It is a great game and more reason to make a Wii stick.

weird problem or common problem. ?

Does anyone know why my psx ds controller modded with happ buttons and joystick have problem registering the left/down d pad.Not sure if this is common or not but it really sucks playing versus game and not be able to block on the left side.Could this be the ps2/ps3 adapter’s fault ? thanks for reading.I am using the yobo ps2/ps3 adapter

have you opened your joystick to make sure the wires to the left/down switch are not loose?

so today I was going to hack a pad but my soldering iron tip appeared to have some brown copperish crud so I went to clean it but then I noticed that it was not crud on the tip but it was the metal underneath and the top layer of the tip is chipping off. Can I still use it or do I need a new tip? I tried taking a pic of it on my webcam but for some reason it was coming out really dark but I did my best to light the pic. I’ll try to take another pic in the morning.

Time to replace the tip. You can keep using it for a bit if needed, it wont hurt anything, but it will be more difficult and temperamental.
