This is a good match because it’s very close and lets you see Sako actually having to work to pressure rather than just styling on people with dash jab links.
As you can see, Bulleta/B.B. Hood gets a lot of mileage out of cancelling her crazy fast dash with pokes chained for safety (the chaining blockstun also gives you time to build charge while you’re in their face). Her EX fireballs also recover crazy fast, so if they’re blocked at close range you can continue to pile on the pokes. That’s a big chunk of the VS fundamentals right there; getting the other guy in blockstun so you can use delay chains, jump chains, tick throws, etc. to fuck up escape and pushblock attempts. It’s almost impossible to seize momentum full-screen with Guile-style fireball chucking, so you have to get really aggressive in order to get real damage with Hood.

Sako versus a really solid Demitri player. The guy deals really well with Sako’s pressure, laying off the Bat Spin (if pushblocked/blocked too close a fast-dashing character like Hood can get some good punishment, if not the crazy dash jab stuff Sako does) and using carefully timed guard cancel Demon’s Cradle to reversal. You did really well as Demitri earlier, though, I was very impressed by how much you knew about the game (as well as those EX Bat Spin combos…ouch).

Couple of good Lei-Lei videos. First one is against Sako (see a pattern here), does a good job of showing how Lei-Lei defends herself against hardcore pressure. Second one is some really good zoning/pressure against Sasquatch. You seemed to have already figured out the crazy shit you can do with her pendulum cancel + spike ball super, but with Ego’s Lei-Lei you also get to see ways to make her pressure a bit safer (like chaining her standing fierce chainsaw into her standing HK to shorten the recovery) and poking with her air dash normals. You were doing very well, though, too bad I didn’t get to play you as much as I did Leland and Orlando.

Thx ben. And yea I use to play that game for countless hours when I was young in Detroit at Roscoe’s this arcade downtown that closed back home. And when it came home for the psone and Saturn with that 4meg ram cart too : D. lol yall are a FUNNY bunch btw. I’d love to play again, that was so much FUN!!!. And it seems like I played the buletta match correctly only thing i didn’t do was the well placed EX throws on knockdown I guess. The bee match seems really funky if you get that fly cancel thing working all the time, shit was beast. Same thing with bulletta those wave dash combo’s look insane, I could never play those guys I’d get stomped, damn japs lol. Oh and brett (pendulum Cancels look fucking beast!!!) So yea let’s do that again someday.

A couple pages late but for the people interested in who’d be willing to play games other than SSF4, I’d be down to play BB. I never played BB1 until a little bit ago so I suck at it but I like the concept. SF4 was my first serious fighter so the input leniancy has crippled me lmao.
