I don’t know why A - Akuma isn’t used by more people. I think grooves from best to worst are K/A/C/N/P-S.
I think the fact that Blanka exists on 95% of the teams played out there may have something to do w/ this. RC Blanka vs A Akuma is like a 10-0 matchup.

hermmmm… K is an interesting choice, considering akuma is considered a battery in many cases. I also love rc fierce red fireball but maybe thats just me, i typically use akuma in A/N groove. i like his custom more than his lvl 2 cancels (even though they can get fancy) and his n groove tricks are crazy.
I’ve never got the whole ‘Akuma auto-loses to RC Blanka’ thing. Blanka is good, we all know this, but it’s not like Akuma having 91% HP or whatnot makes it a 10-0 matchup. A-Akuma has RC and Alpha Counters. Those two things mean that you should NOT be getting hit by customs often. RC-Ball shouldn’t be hitting you, RC-Eletricity is a biatch but it is to most characters.
I remember the days of watching Bas’ A-Akuma, that shit was dope. Runaway against any top tier and build meter, then bait activation followed by counter-activate into CC. That thing could OCV.
Akuma in A groove is 10-0 matchup. Akuma is N or K is like 8.5-1.5 matchup. In A groove what the hell is Akuma goign to do against RC ball other than to hope to RC back or stay out of range of RC ball’s invinciblity and punish. N can counter roll, K can JD. Even C can airblock and hurricane kick or something. Landing a CC is going to be a bit cuz without airblock, its going to be hard to get close to a runaway RC blanka. Not to mention blanka is going to get meter faster than you. 3 RC electrics can stun Akuma cuz of his low dizzy meter. Everything Akuma lands in this matchup is in hopes of if Blanka fucks up. If Blanka doesn’t fuck up, or runs away, Akuma ain’t getting shit done. Hence a 10-0 matchup. All those jump back airFBs are all good if Blanka really tries to come at you. Even then Blanka can trade by RC balling through w/ some timing and knocking you and himself down, but he gets benefit in the trade. 10-0.
I agree %100000, Akuma vs Blanka sucks horribly. Also, I’d rather have a RD over a CC, so I would probably put his grooves K/C,N/A/P,S. Plus his CC is way too hard for the damage you get. You are lucky to get over 7k most the time.
Also in N and K can’t you run forward after a blocked blanka ball and punish with sweep xx Hurricane xx dp. Or run forward and punish with something? I thought any charcter in a run groove could punish a blocked ball. It’s just hard to time the run right.

i still think that a-bison is the best in the game. A-blanka is damn good, but A-bison has a custom that does at least 9000 dmg. All they need to do is screw up ONCE and that’s game.
