 that is hillarious!

I think one the one thing that makes C Rolento better is the fact that its alot easier to hit either lvl 2 or lvl 3 trip wire then it is to hit his CC.

You guys are making Vega to complicated, just lj rh.

you can combo into vega’s level 3 claw super, it’s not restricted to AA use only, and it’s not too extremely difficult as people think. A-vega is clearly the best, then C/P/K/N/S

peace

Yeah, A-Vega, bomb ass. C-Vega, also bomb ass. A is way more fun because of the custom. Comboing into red impact is easy except that soooooo many characters can duck under it. So you have to make sure you don’t super if they’re ducking while they’re getting hit.

i’ve seen vega jumping back, and running away, to bait the other guy to jump/run after vega, which is met with vega landing into red impact…i think that’s a pretty good use of red impact outside of combo.

i still dont see how vega can land his red impact when hes behind and the opponent sitting comfortably with 2-3 meters.

I guess he is the bomb… Bass new team A is… Vega Blanka Bison.

u guys better watch out at TS… My friend said he is better than Rickys A vega. :wow:

I guess he got tired of honda…

After seeing windy’s videos, I don’t think that Ricky is to good really. He doesn’t use very much mixup, and also uses a lot of scrubby tactics to win (IE wake up activate). He only seems to use one Vega throw setup, and almost always goes for the s.lk xx crystal flash on his opponents wake up.

anyways he gets the win and I guess thats what makes him such a recognizable player. However I’m pretty sure BAS’ Vega would own the shit out of Ricky’s because Ricky’s Vega doesn’t seem to have much goin for that seems out of the ordinary “OMG” material.

vega isnt about fancy setups. rickys vega is good because vega is a footsies gay character, and ricky is a footsies gay player. it only makes sense that they go together.

Vega has never really been an OMG character. Ricky’s Vega is probably his best character and he beats the crap out of other people’s Sakuras with him. From the EVO dvd, Ricky’s Vega seemed to be the hardest to kill out of his 3 characters.

I hope it comes down to Ricky vs Bas at Texas Showdown or even Ricky vs Otaku. Those would be good matches to check out.

Where are these videos?

Uh, but not right now, since my month’s bandwidth (for March) was sucked up in one day. I ordered a bandwidth boost yesterday, hopefully I’ll get the site and the video from the February 19 FFA tourney back up.

The simple reason why Ricky’s Vega is so hard to beat is because it’s really easy to lose your guard crush against him. The crystal flash does like 25% guard crush damage, and if you want to (and should) AC him at the end of it to get out of the corner, it’ll cost you another 20%. That’s half their GC meter gone on one move.

With one of Ricky’s matches, I’m going to have a match analysis on the site detailing why it’s just as important to use your meter for defensive purposes as it is for offensive purposes, even in A-Groove.

Cool, I’ll be checking your website when I can then! Yes, that Vega does sound nasty…

windyman, you should put some google ads up on your site. i’d hate to see it die to bandwidth issues.

Sorry to hear that bandwidth was sucked in one day man they were really good, and I don’t want to see that site die, cuz I used to go there in the very beginning. I learned stuff like “How the level london changes it’s appearnce throughout the matches!” and, “AWESOME frame data!”

Anyways the match analysis would be wonderful! Can’t wait to hear, and sorry for raping your bandwidth

I don’t know man, have you played Ricky and his Vega. I haven’t played his Vega but I’ve played him, and he’s really that good. I’ve seen video of him OCV’ing Ino with Vega, if you don’t consider that good, then you’re definitely playing at a higher level than anyone.

What makes Ricky good is his powerful footsies, and I say powerful, because he is one of the only players who can poke into a super with consistancy and ease. He makes it seem like he’s just buffering into a fireball or something. I hate that, cause then you’re already getting out-poked, and then BAM!!! Half your life is gone.

I don’t even want to get into A-Groove Ricky either…

can anyone say what terry has going for him and what kinda comboes he should do?

what tier is terry in? i know buk didn’t list him as one of the 8 worst chars so that’s good.

Terry is low-mid but that doesn’t mean he’s necessarily shit. Terry has that mid screen CC in A groove that goes hp rising tackle, activate, hp rising tackle (c.rh xx mp burn knuckle) to corner, buster wolf xx rh power dunk. In c-groove Terry is at his best because he can store 3 buster wolfs, has a good roll and air block, in any other groove i can’t see terry playing competitively besides A and C, with C groove edging out A because Terry shouldn’t be offensive anyways besides a jump in fierce, standing fierce xx buster wolf combos.

Level 1 and 2 Buster Wolves don’t combo after a max range short, short. Same thing with after meaty d.MP, d.MK. The super would be really good if it were like Rock’s and combos at all ranges, but it doesn’t, so it’s not. He needs a Rugal style death combo off a level 2 if I’m going to use any super other than level 3 with him. I’ll play A, K, or P Terry over the other groove Terry’s any day.

Terry’s all about the offense if you ask me. Mostly playing for the guard break, jump fierce and jump roundhouse have too much priority.
