The Ogre Thread

One question: what’s the story on the infinite kicks? I’m new to Ogre so I’m wondering how I can mix them up? I figured out I can cancel into the burn kick at the end, but what else can I do? Thanks.

You can cancel into any move at the end. Indigo punch jab version gives frame adv. You can cadc forward or backwards. Do owl hunt hk version to tag cancel into a combo. Don’t cancel into blazing kick too much

Blazing kick is actually kinda Meh overall… its ok meaty and wakeup ex is good otherwise do something else imo

I’ve been using Blazing Kick to preemptively beat out jump ins and Demon Flips recently. It’s realllllly satisfying seeing people bounce into that lingering hitbox and get a counter-hit anti air combo :3 Gonna hit the lab and see what’s the most damage I can get outta that.

EX Blazing Kick is a lot more reliable, but if you have a Mike Ross read, go for the non-EX version. By the way, what exactly does the EX version beat? Is it fully invincible or what?

Is Ogre’s wakeup Owl’s Hunt got nerfed? I checked the patch notes and only the normal input version is mentioned. Now, that move misses me after a simple back/forward dash while it usually hits in 2012 even with the dashes.

No idea because I NEVER use that wakeup move unless its to escape and you do the hk version. The move is very, very risky

Well as I’m trying out characters, Alisa is comfortable to shoto. Nina is hated so she is out. Asuka and Christie seem really interesting, my favorite is Lili though. Is she a good partner for Ogre?
