Finally got around to testing it, and it’s only a visual crossup and not an actual crossup, which is pretty fucking weird. I’m not discarding this just yet, and will wait for tomorrow to see if it will be relevant or not come 2013.
EDIT: doesn’t hit behind the opponent anymore in 2013, ggs
Found another interesting fact: if your opponent rolls you can always grab them out of the roll with Waning Moon because the first 1 frame is considered a throw. LOL
Not quite sure about this: but if you use a Hail Mary EX Owl on your wakeup and your opponent stands right next to you I think it is a crossup (!) OH kind of like Hwo’s EX Heel in the corner. It’s a bit tricky to test in pmode with recording. Can someone try this?
@truendiminion: are you on PSN? From where are you playing? Why have you paired with Ogre?
Yeah my PSN is in my sig. I’m on west coast. My main team is Ogre x Jack X. I also play Kaz, King, Christie, Kuma, and occasionally a fraud Hugo lol. Trying to pickup Yoshi, Paul, Dudley, Nina and maybe Hwoa.
Oh ok, I can’t see your sig. Only using Tapatalk on iPhone and iPad.
Nice chars. I’m playing from Germany…could be a bit problematic
I used Dudley, Hwo, Gief and Ogre in 2012. I’ll keep all of them, maybe add a few more.
No, due to the fact that you can throw someone during the whole roll and the last few frames of getting up, you just throw out WM and it connects all the time with frame 1. Give it a try!
After landing owl hunt: Dash forward one time, do hk owl hunt, then do :hcf: :lp: (hold the lp) towards the opponent 0.1 second after recovering from the Owl hunt. If the opponent rolls, he will roll past you as you start the the motion of the indigo punch, but you will now do the command grab input in stead, because they roll past you. With this timing you will charge an indigo punch if they wake up normaly, but you will punish with the command grab if they roll.
