I remember developers complaining about how difficult the PS3 was to develop for. Not necessarily how shitty the architecture is.
Mostly the complaints had to do with the Cell processor and the fact that it had slower processing speed than the 360 IIRC. Developers seem to still be having problems developing for it if Elder Scrolls V’s DLC is any indication but that’s just 1 developer who seems to having issues with it now 6 years out. The main issue was developers trying to just port what they were doing on 360 to PS3 just straight up and overtime now pretty much everyone has a grip on it. Like I said before we won’t know how things really are until 1-2 years into the console life. Wii U being the weaker of the ‘next gen’ systems coming out is a given, this was already stated eons ago and if anyone actually bought this system thinking otherwise then they’re going to be in for a rude awakening but I’m fairly certain that most of the people who did go out and purchase this system were already fully aware of that.
Well for perspective, these are the games that I enjoyed, going off a alphabetical list; was around 6-9 around then

*Not too long ago I poked at Sin and Punishment
I either had these games or had them rented/borrowed/tried out at a friends house. A good amount of these games left a pretty huge impression, hell I wouldn’t mind going back to some of them because they’re just damn good, particularly Sin and Punishment. The rest were just amazing fun at the time.
Though yeah, little to no fighting games on the N64, PS ruled RPGS and the Dreamcast’s Skies of Arcadia was gatlike, action games? Mostly action adventure.
…now if only I had a capable PC back then. Atleast I had Age of empires 1 and 2 later on rofl.
I loved my N64. I regret pawning off most of my collection to pay for Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin to this day. I sold off so many great games, shit still hurts when I think about it.
I gave my collection to my first ex for her to “borrow”. We don’t talk anymore.
[details=Spoiler] FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. Also she destroyed me in Smash bros 64 with her Samus combos that I didn’t know existed. That shit was ingrained into my mind like Sagat’s scar.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!

Hey don’t get so excited here. That company needed to rely on the cpu instead of the new gpu which once handled right works much much better than the CPU. They probably wanted to save time instead of learning the hardware. Just step out of ur own confusion and look
I hope Sony and Microsoft are pushing innovation with graphics exceeding PCs or I won’t be buying them. Innovation gets my money. Not watch dogs. Everybody is so excited about that game. If its not rift ready then its just a gta clone to me
No Mercy was the best one.
I’ll check the settings.
Is there a way to use the Wii emulator on the WiiU without having to turn on the actual Wii? Or is there perhaps something wrong with the setup?
EDIT: n/m, it was the setup. Dumbass brother didn’t plug in the wiiu sensor bar.
MK 4 and Trilogy also came out on the N64…Trilogy had it’s issues but both were fun for me and despite KI Gold getting it’s flack I enjoyed playing that as well.

Wii U Becomes Profitable After One Game Purchase
not really selling that much at a loss after all.
Considering the fact that no one really seems interested in it and it’s suffering from a slew of problems and inferior ports, it remains to be seen whether Nintendo will indeed be in the black. Sure hope not.
Please just buy the Nintendoland bundle, consumers. So I can watch them burn.
I forgot to ask for those who bought TTT2 Wii U Edition, How is the online? I haven’t tried the online for Sonic Racing Transformed yet but it’s a kart racer. MKWii had fine netcode so I’m not concerned with it. I’m asking to get a feel for how future fighters and Smash will possibly do.
Edit: I also could technically just look under the Banner for TTT2 and ask them but I wanted to hear it from someone on SRK.
I know I said I wouldnt respond to you anymore and I will most likely regret it but aren’t you tired. I mean you know you are just annoying the shit out of everyone who just wants to have an actual conversation about the system.
Everyone knows that you hate nintendo.
Everyone knows that you want them to burn in hell.
Arent you tired?
Obviously not, otherwise I’d stop. The fact that you can’t see this and have to ask such a dumb question is funny, after pointlessly expressing your hate for me so many times like I do with Nintendo (hell, you just said that you’d “regret” posting this, aren’t YOU tired of being an idiot?). Truth is I get a rush of excitement every time I hear something’s not going right for them, so it keeps me freshly coming back for more; I could never feasibly get tired of it. And I don’t see how that post you quoted couldn’t be considered “an actual conversation” about the system since it presents a dissenting view, which is what conversations arise from. What you mean by “actual conversation” is “a massive fanboy circlejerk where everyone agrees with each other all the time”, right?
What I am tired of is idiots like yourself posting your extremely narrow viewpoint and considering it to be universal fact. I don’t care about the fact that you’re fishing for upvotes with posts like the one you just made. I don’t care that you think I’m “freshly announcing” that I hate Nintendo each time rather than having something new to say. I don’t care for you or your utterly dumb and hypocritical opinion, the point is I’m not going anywhere. If you don’t like it, put me on ignore and be done, just don’t waste both our time with your stupidity.
you know say what you want about nintendo but in all my time as a gamer i have only ever had to buy **ONE ** nintendo console from each generation.
when people compare sales of consoles people seem to forget some of the major contributing factors like a console breaking and having to replace it.
seriously my one of my friends has bought over 3 xboxs and 3 ps3s
another one of my friends has literally gone through 5 xboxs.
even i have had to replace my xbox before although only once though.
how many n64’s have i had? 1
game boy’s have i had? 1
super nintendo’s? 1
gamecube? 1
nes? 1
nintendo ds? 1
3ds? 1
wii? 1
a big contributing factor to the other consoles sales numbers is the fact that people replace them.
nintendo makes some durable shit.

PS3 is actually made pretty solidly cept for the earlier models with the some of the lenses starting to die on them.
Bullshit. Several people in my family have been having hardware issues with them since the Gamecube. A friend of mine had his Wii brick on him three different times and my cousins have had issues with Gamecubes not reading discs. Neither your experience or mine can be used as “proof” for either argument being true because they’re anecdotal as fuck. I don’t think you realize this though.
i’m just speaking from personal experience.
also i hardly ever hear people having problems with their nintendo consoles be it someone i know or on the internet. it’s mostly xbox or ps
Agreed on the durability and reliability of Nintendo hardware. Their engineering is always sound. I seriously hope the next Xbox is reliable from the start, and consumers don’t let them get away with that nonsense. The 360 had something like a 30% failure rate. Completely ridiculous.
