dont like any character in it. it’s most likely they will die. im not sure how far the anime gets, but in the manga its just not a good idea to find any character good since they are usually killed in the chapter they’re introduced. like kamina in TTGL, except faster.
works for some, not for all. I guess what they mean is like if someone says your car was in an accident. You come flying out the house, expecting to see your ride turned into one huge paperweight, but you are plesantly relieved to see some paint scrapes and a busted headlight. It sucks that your car got hit, but you’re better than that drunk they’re pulling out of the glove compartment of the other car that they are STILL separating from the telephone pole. It’s all in how you see it.
No thats not what i meant at all if you read that little analogy i did. The value did not go down at all. in fact it went up. just not as** sharp** rise up as School Day/MAdoka which is the point .
wtf why would you bring up a cancer patient? Ok if your gonna do that then I’ll use the same analogy with a situation involving a 9 year old boy who had a normal life and you can tell by viewing his photo album and watching videos with him with his family. One day subliminal messages of a violent tv show gives him negative messages that slowly transforms the kids psyche as time passes. In the end he tried to kill his family with scissors but then killed himself. btw this was based/inspired on a true story involving a kid who did kill himself because of South Park. Thats about as black and white as it gets. Cancer Patient (Grave of the Fireflies) is depressing and won’t get any less depressing however its not rare in this day and age and happens often enough that its not an insane/mass panic (I know this is sounding wrong but your the one who brought up cancer patient -_-’) While 9 year old child (Sheeps clothing anime SD and Madoka) who had sudden series of unexpected events shifted his fate leaves a** MUCH bigger** impact of depression/empty feeling solely because its not widely expected or part of the “plan”.
The Dark Knight character of Joker sums this up perfectly with this quote **“Even if the plan is horrifying! If, tomorrow, I tell the press that, like, a gang banger will get shot, or a truckload of soldiers will be blown up, nobody panics, because it’s all “part of the plan”. But when I say that one little old mayor will die, well then everyone loses their minds!” **Thats the depression feeling you get for those anime you mainly listed that keeps the same depressing atmosphere ongoing its “part of the plan” while the ones not part of the plan that causes depression is what truly makes you feel worse and feels like you got hit by a truck. There are many types of depressions but since you said only “depression” it was vague enough that SD and Madoka Magica is relevant.
Deadman Wonderland in a nutshell is a middle school boy being framed for killing his entire class and sent to a prison amusement park during a post-earthquake Japan. The main protagonist Ganta has to deal with survival in Wonderland while learning about who killed his classmates. He also gets a power when the person who killed his classmates gave it to him when he touched his heart region. Its a good Show that Toonami got and it just got dub release
Edit: Anyone who does not know and/or is curious on how Toonami will display their Ratings click HERE Jason Dimarco receives them Tuesday/Wednesday, but it won’t be publicly released until roughly a week later. Anyways gonna sleep now it was fun debating on various topics Toonami related (to an extent anyway:sweat:) stay golden faithful
After witnessing these turn of events over the last few months, I feel that we can finally confirm that there is indeed a god and his name is Steve Blum.
The anime community can’t do that for months. Ah well, I actually kind of like casshern sins. Its the new show that has that toonami feel. You can see from it’s promo.
People seldom care about quality of life issues. Similarly kids today are not gonna understand that watching toonami was like watching a show split up by shows. These retards love Tim & Eric and using the word Meta but cannot comprehend that Tom as host added cohesion to a bunch of random anime. It may not be as awesome as it was for us 90’s kid because now they have internet and can download anime on their way to search for porn.
Anime without Tom = bunch of shows split by commercials.
Anime with Tom = The Circus is coming to town and the ringmaster is hype as FUCK.
Fuck those dudes; Adult swim without the slides talking shit wouldn’t have been as dope. Although adult swim with the slides and shitty shows isn’t that much better.
eh? I breezed through the 3 page adult swim thread (like that alone means anything) but reactions were mixed/positive overall. In a nutshell the new Toonami block is considered a big improvement over the AS ACTN despite fans wanting their favorite shows back on the Toonami block for nostalgia reasons. They also understand that this is most likely the LAST chance for awhile that real anime to be broadcasted in US television. At least they generally understand that selfishly not watching the block because x show is not present in the current lineup is not the correct course of action if you desire Toonami to stay longer with an improved lineup/airspace
Good show  I can see this musical piece thats relevant to the Toonami revival playing when you made that statement

Are you not aware of the shit [as] deals with when it comes to Inuyasha? They air the show and it gets low ratings so they remove it. Fans complain about the removal and [as] puts it back in rotation. Ratings spike for a while then everyone goes back to not watching and it’s removed again. Cycle begins anew. There’s a possibly of this happening with the new Toonami particularly with the fans that expected a nostalgia trip and [as] fans who never experience the block in it’s heyday.
Yes, the Inyuyasha events happened because things were not being kept fresh(lol i remember the AS bumps explaining this). Toonami can avoid this fate as long as they keep airing new content which should be as long as a single run of Deadman Wonderland/Casshern Sins before any news of any additional grabs for the lineup. The Toonami ToM bumps would also need to hold out(Hell it even made Bleach Fillers worth watching that night ) but it seems that it won’t be sugar and rainbows for months to come. All we can do is keep faith and watch their decent lineup until things turn up.
**“The night is darkest just before the dawn. And I promise you, the dawn is coming.” - Harvey Dent (The Dark Knight) **dam that movie has so many great quotes lol
