While I was sad that there was no Toonami last night, I’m glad they did Cartoon Planet. If we had a choice where one of these things had to come back and the other were to fade away into nothingness, I’d choose both.
These sorts of things take time. They can’t just expect steve blum to ready to work at a moments notice. Toonami will probably see the light of day yet again, but first cartoon network has to do some rearrangements to their schedule and staffing, not to mention gather up some new anime to air. They need to find the perfect balance of old and new to please all of us.

They always show Bebop around AS airing, but that’s one of my favorite shows so I try to watch it whenever it’s on.
I remember Toonami’s Rising Sun, but it ran against other networks that were going strong at the time.

Yeah, I said it fuck Toonami. Shit fell off around 2005. Even a decade ago the original adult swim action block was better thanthat shyt.
Toonami thrived off of merchandise, because kids will buy that shit. That’s why Gundam never appeared on AS after 2002. Hakusho migrated to ToonamI for the same reasons, merchandising.
Back In the day, I use to buy that shit. But now I realize that Toonami is nothing but an advertisement block. But I still want the shows and block back, just not TOM 3.0
I was mad but Cartoon Planet stayed so I’m fine with that. Saturday’s still sucks…
