Didn’t she mention ace man to Ganta once, though? Or was that to someone else?
Uh, I believe she did. She also did as a kid which he remembered.
Still don’t get the power drain Ganta pulled on Shiro. It would have to be through the crystal he has, but do the other deadmen have a crystal too? I thought it was a virus that gave the others their powers.
Ace Man is a superhero that they are both familiar with. Red Man is Shiro’s alternate personality and is based on Ace Man.
No, the other Deadmen don’t have a crystal.
A lot of the newer anime seasons are just 12 or 13 episodes these days. It is rare to get one that isn’t even some uber popular franchise not get stuck on that. If they ever get another recent series, it might end slightly better but it will be short as fuck nonetheless.
I think the major theme Toonami usually has is Sci-fi action, outside of the anomaly that is Hamtaro all their shows have had that common trait dating back to its beginnings.
So I read the first two volumes of DW today (after spending literally 4-5 hours looking for a place to download it so I could put it on my ipod, downloading the files, and putting them into seperate folders and such). A few new characters so far. That Azami chick or whatever her name is doesn’t seem important so far and unless she becomes more relevant, I can see why they replaced her with Yoh. Then there’s the trio of characters with humming bird, like that fat guy who came and left, some old guy, and a woman whom I believe is a man but am not entirely sure.
Nothing too big has happened yet (that hasn’t happened in the anime), the pace feels about the same as the show more or less. Though Ganta’s fight with Senji did pay closer attention to his blood loss affecting him.
It’s like I said earlier, Azami plays absolutely no role in the initial arc we saw in the anime. It’s only later where she’s actually relevant. So if the anime makers knew they weren’t getting past the first season, it makes sense why she was left out as she does nothing in this arc.
I once heard the Texhnolyze OP and I’ve been dying to see that show ever since. I could never find anyone or anywhere that had it though. If Toonami gets that, I’ll be sitting on top of the chair watching it.
Honestly, I think he’s already figured it out. Poor guy has been dealing with severe blood loss in almost every episode though, so we have to cut him a break. He stays about three shots from dying nearly every fight. He never even had time to wonder how big those damn tits are.
…And Karako would get the red man for sure, if ya know what I mean.

[details=Spoiler] No, he hasn’t figured it out, he hasn’t come close to figuring it out yet. And he doesn’t figure it out for a long damn time, again all because Yoh was too damn stupid to decide to tell people. Not only did he not know, NO ONE knew other than Yoh.
And trust me, Ganta’s hell has just begun, that shit was nothing[/details]
I marathoned the manga and I’m finished the most recent chapter. It begins to pick up two volumes after where the anime left off. Don’t ignore Azami, they didn’t include her in the anime because she became important after the Undertakers arc.
To bad mah nigga Chaplin wasn’t inthe anime.
That tears it. Downloading me some dead manga and getting my mind fucked all up…more.

So I finished reading the chapters that the anime covered. Probably some really minor spoilers but I’ll put the spoiler tag just in case.
[details=Spoiler] So there are a few characters that the anime did not show, but these characters play so small of a role in the anime arc that, if a 2nd season were made, they could easily just make 1-2 episodes dedicated to who these characters are. Granted, for Azami, it may lose a bit of impact since she’d show up so late, but it’s not like the Hellsing anime where they flat out just take a different plot from the manga halfway through and ignore a lot of important points.[/details] Also, you thought Ganta punching Shiro was bad? He does something later on that literally makes Shiro just fall to her knees and burst out crying. It’s a very sad moment, especially when you start thinking about why he did it.
Tell me it I don’t feel like reading the manga.
I’m all for new shows, I really am, but I wish they could show Outlaw Star again. Despite owning the show, for some reason it’s more fun when TOM is involved…i dunno.
Stupid nostalgia :bluu:
If they do get Outlaw star they can hopefully show the greatest episode in the series.
[details=Spoiler]I wrote a huge wall of text explaining it, but honestly, you really should just read the manga because explaining it doesn’t do it justice. So I’ll give you this: http://i.imgur.com/woYRK.png
Not a spoiler, but spoiler tags anyway: [details=Spoiler]Eh, Ganta still seems too bitch-like to me. He’s so hormonal ALL the damn time.[/details]
episode 23? Hopefully so. But be prepared for mosaics.
