The Official Toonami Thread: Fight tha powa!

Spoiler

The dude is 15 and is still in a place that’s essentially hell on Earth and has a tendency to have his friends drop off like flies. Not everyone’s gonna be a boss through all that.

lmfao episode 23 of outlaw is fucking hilarious. also surprisingly has info that is a big piece of the series in the end part of the show.
have never seen samurai seven so thats a new thing for me.

they should put on robotech though and or macross cause i need to see that or put on x men tas

or gungrave (if it was longer)
also was i the only person that re-winded the scene of that little girl getting sliced into pieces by mocking bird for some reason i liked it cannot explain it im probably sick

Yeah, they can’t exactly cut out the entire episode 23 if they brought Outlaw back, for all the fanservice the episode was pretty damn important for the finale.

This thread went from “TOONAMI IS BACK!! TELL YOUR FRIENDS!!” to “DEADMAN WONDERLAND IS AWESOME!!!”, and I like it.

I never saw outlaw star but i’m guessing thats the episode with the lava baths and cat girl tits.

yep normally i aint into all that half cat humanoid jazz but asia is the one and only exception

[details=Spoiler]Good point. I do keep forgetting that Ganta is still puberty-aged, running around with convicted murderers with short expiration dates. Guess I’m too used to anime characters reacting unrealistically to situations.[/spoilers]

Big DW spoilers.[details=Spoiler] So I just finished volume 9 of DW. Ganta (and Senji) get freed from DW and his name cleared(DW is actually closed down and everyone is moved to another prison), and yet, he’s in worst shape than ever. And with good reason, too. Outside of all the fighting he’s just had to do, he had to watch Shiro suffer from one of the elite artificial deadmen while he was helpless to stop him. And as if that wasn’t enough, after the fight, he asks Azami to watch over Shiro while he goes on. The next time he sees her, or rather, part of her, it’s her decapitated head, being held by the Red Man. Turns out that when Shiro fell unconscious after last fight, the “Shiro” persona died (according to Wretched Egg persona), meaning Red Man is the dominant persona now. So Red Man is killing people all over, and destroys the floor beneath Ganta’s feet, as Ganta fire’s a shot at her. Unlike all the previous attacks people used on her (which had literally no effect and the most she was affected was her saying she felt itchy), Ganta’s attack managed to knock her back, as well as knocking the mask off for Ganta to see who the Red Man truly was as he fell. What followed was him in a massive depression.

Man, the jailbreak arc is a fucking barney episode compared to what’s gone down these last several chapters.[/details]

Read at your extreme peril, massive DW spoilers

[details=Spoiler]The Shiro persona isn’t dead, just kept very dormant. It actually will come once in a future chapter. But yeah, he gets more hell upon him that late. And trust me it gets NO better later. That lieutenant, her lesbian assistant, Ganta and his Deadman crew plus Karako decide to head back to Deadman Wonderland since that’s where the Wretched Egg has set up shop. Turns out she was responsible for the first massive earthquake that started this whole thing, and Deadman Wonderland is right on that fault line. If the Wretched Egg is able to get up to full power again, she will end up destroying all of Japan.

They go in and it turns out Mockingbird is that old man we saw at the beginning. This dude is essentially Orochimaru. He’s switched bodies multiple times in order to survive and he’s now hijacked Mockingird’s body. His one and only desire is to be with the Wretched Egg and have her at full power and see her full potential. Dude’s obsessed. We also find out that his efforts, along with Ganta’s mother are the reason Shiro ended up so messed up and the Deadmen were created in the first place, as they developed the Branch of Sin within Shiro. They performed horrific experiments, continuously destroying her body and causing immense pain. Eventually, it was too much and she got the alternate personality of the Wretched Egg to “protect” her and yeah…

Ganta’s mother ended up developing the system to subdue the Wretched Egg. Right now it’s working at about…half capacity. It’s powered by Shiro’s flesh. The key to the system is Ganta and his powers. It can be used to either subdue Shiro/Wretched Egg completely or set her free. Unfortunately, unknown to Ganta (and known by the rest of his crew now), his powers has an immense drawback. His powers not only take away his blood, but a bit from his other organs as well. It causes crippling pain whenever he uses his powers now, especially his new one. If he uses his full power to unlock that system, it’s likely that he will die. That’s basically where we’re at now while we wait for the mangaka to come back from pregnancy.

Oh, and Senji ends up being a beast all throughout, making a BFS of amazingness and other things. Unfortunately he also loses his right arm in the process, but it’s Senji, that won’t slow him down.

Think I got everything of worth from the point after rayplay mentioned.[/details]

Wow they replaced Bebop.

It was inevitable.

Sent from Hueco Mundo using Garganta Talk.

Hoping GITS would get taken off first.

Doesn’t get sadder than jobbers losing to another jobber.

Thank the lord, it needed to go more than GITS.

Steve Blum wants #BringBackSARA trending tonight. Just thought I’d bring that up.

Okay, the end of filler of Bleach, now time for that new old shit in Samurai 7.**

sara?

The computer girl that used to help run the Absolution alongside TOM. You know, essentially a Cortana for Toonami. She’s been absent since Toonami’s return due to those fun budget restraints.

Oh, I figured that’s who you meant but I actually hadn’t noticed she was gone.
