Deadman Wonderland: Um, did they NOT hear the boom behind the door Shiro hastily closed shut? I guess they were too shocked by her actions to notice. How could Ganta punch Shiro? Freaking Shiro! Axe Crazy Alternate Personality Shiro, sure, go Little Mac on her, but Dawwwww Shiro? No. Just… no. Freaking Shiji saving everyone’s anus and saying screw ya’ll I’m out. Totally awesome moment.
Casshern Sins: Um, this show is called Casshern, correct? Then were the frick is he?! Dio. He must have lost that head piece in a scuffle with Casshern. That was probably the ep I missed. An “army” to take on Casshern? That’s nothing but rust bucket jobbers. Dio himself could probably put up a decent fight. He did provide the graceful savagery beatings I’ve come to love from the title character in this ep. And that one fembot with the tits? I deem every fembot see in this series as a headcase. Casshern’s pink haired stalker is an exception as well as the GLORIOUS fembot singer. The rest should be hauled off to the psych ward. Tits fembot seems to have her own agenda and could end up dead at the hands of Dio.
The fight scene on Casshern Sins tonight was gorgeous… Cartoon Network has once again made Saturdays into something legendary. (*unfortunately, the shows on the morning lineup are all in repeats at the moment though)
Yo, any chance that anime thats been advertising the blue-ray Funimation release constantly when Toonami block is on might be a future addition. Never heard of it and not sure if it would fit the block, but liked what i saw based on the ad
Smart move for Toonami by releasing a steady stream of “fresh” content into the block to reduce the rerun hell (lol reminds me of that rerun tom speech). FLCL is also gonna replace Ghost in the shell Stand alone Complex too.
The block Needs to get some guaranteed ratings hits fromPanty & Stockings, High School of the Dead, maybe the dubbed Persona 4 coming soon? Ratings so far are stable for their timeslot currently
Samurai 7 will be an interesting choice now that i think about it since the show is pretty old, however it was pretty popular back in the day. I heard the Budget on this show is double of a typical anime for its episode count as well. Surprised DeadMan Wonderland only got 1 run, but its more likely gonna come back in the later time-slot as it slowly replaces the old adult swim shows. Casshern Sins is around half done as well and Bleach almost out of filler hell

Not much more than any other show in the first couple of hours. But even then, most of the droppage came from the Casshern Harem Arc. Now that he actually has shit to do, the viewership should go up. With Bleach finally getting out of their crappy filler soon, viewership should go up as a whole.
As for P&S, I’m not a fan, but I see an audience for it, so I’ve got no issues with airing it.
HSoTD is a joke. It’s all fanservice, I tried to find story and I didn’t see it, so I moved on. I think it would be an insult to the Toonami name if this show was aired.
Persona? Sure. I don’t really care either way on this one, I’m pretty impartial. If they air it, I’ll watch.
It was going too slow, so a lot of people got impatient. I’m sure viewers will return when it speeds up a bit.
I expect viewership to be low for Casshern Sins. I remember watching it when it originally aired a few years ago and the show is very slowly paced, somber, and melancholic. The action and animation are equally impressive but the narrative takes a front seat and really requires you to pay attention to get answers. The show is very much like a haiku, it’s presented to you face value with the meaning staring you dead in the face; totally blue with flashes of red. If people don’t think about it too much but take the time to give the show it’s time to play out; you can be rewarded at the end.
Again, probably another anime they got on the cheap.
Honestly, I would’ve wished they move Deadman down to Bebop’s spot after both end (I think they end at the same time), move up Casshern to the 12:30 spot, then move Samurai 7 into the 1:00 spot. Not only do the people who missed DW get another run (though a bit late), all the remnants of old AS Anime is gone short of Bleach which is never leaving.
I’m simply talking from ratings potential for western audiences.
-Not a fan of P&S comedy either but it fits Adult Swim Toonami like a glove hence the ratings potential
-HOTD…I’m not gonna get into a debate on how garbage or how appealing the series may or may not be, but I won’t deny that HOTD was well responded by Western Audiences(That did not let the granted excessive fan-service ruin the message and presentation atmoshere of the show for them) and simply stated on its promising potential on Adult Swim Toonami. Also, Americans really love the combination of violent zombie scenes and titties
-Persona 4 dubbed is being released soon and its based off a really known rpg series with alot of **media influence **(I can’t stress that point enough), that alone can gather some rating if it was aired after Bleach for example. Im indifferent to the anime adaption personally, but…its Persona
Regarding Samurai 7, I’m pretty sure it will do better then Casshern Sins and get around DeadMan Wonderland territory. Maybe even better since the show is more likely gonna keep the Bleach audience to stick around later.
