The Official Toonami Thread: Fight tha powa!

Man, Toonami is a on a roll! Strong ratings and a good lineup. I wish we could get Optimus Prime narrating for promos again.

Deadman Wonderland. This show. THIS SHOW! Man, I could’t look when the took Crow’s eye out. Actually made me cringe. Poor Ganta. Why is this kid life’s punching bag? Even when he wins he gets crapped on somehow.

Cashern. Oh hi, Friender! Welcome back, buddy! So, lots of robots in this anime. Both kids and adults. Makes me wonder just how they came to be. Man, Cashern just hands out beatings in a graceful savage manner. Next week’s ep should be tasty with Black Cashern on the scene.

I’m starting to think that Shiro was the one who killed Ganta’s friends . . .

Not to spoil anything (even though I myself am fairly clueless), I highly doubt that. The Red Man made a brief grunt in his appearances and his voice was much different, and the higher ups are aware of the Red Man and try to keep him sealed or something, but Shiro runs around all the time. If she’s the red man, I highly doubt they’d have her running around the place.

I suppose that’s true.

It’s just that she has bizarre powers and most of the cast can’t use, coupled with her random fits of destruction, like what happened on Saturday.

I think that it is her actually. She mentioned something about a lullaby stopping before she killed those guards and the scientists mentioned it in the last time the Red Man appeared. This “lullaby” probably inhibits her powers. Also, she had that same grin that the Red Man had in the first episode.

But that still wouldn’t explain why they’d casually let her run around the place unchecked. Senji isn’t even the strongest of deadmen and he’s sealed down in G block, so there’s no way in hell they’d just let her run around unchecked.

Ganta is the RedMan I did the research

That picture looks like my room when I’m looking through my cards. O__o

Is that Lain? I’ve never seen it but I figured it was more…recent than what the quality seems (looks 90s style).

Yup you hit me dead-center *gets right eye pulled out by a sadistic nurse who has a body-part fetish

I have a confession to make. I cheated, I right clicked save as and it had the name :stuck_out_tongue:
It’s just that the quality looked 90s whereas I thought it was made in the 21st century. Also, you think Senji could’ve used the blood he lost to break out and cut out that nurse’s own eye? And see if she gets off to that?

Yeah because Crow does not have such a stylish yet deadly bracelet on his neck or how he has a sense of honor of losing to Ganta that he does not mind losing a body-part as a constant reminder of losing to him.

Gonna leave this here just for a point a reference when people want to pull this on people who complain and demand nostalgia Toonami back ala April fools version

Okay so I’d rather lose an eye than be killed, but if it were me, I wouldn’t let honor keep me from killing a bitch whose getting off to tearing out my eye (especially when he had no form of anesthetics so he felt all the pain). It’s not even being a sore loser at this point, it’s just…not wanting someone to treat you like that. Then again, my dad and grandpa were the ones who believed heavily in “If you come home beat up, you sure as hell better have made the other guy go home the same” and thus I have the same mentality to an extent.

toonami isn’t even on par with the rest of [as]. the average rating for an adult swim show is 1.3mil. bleach is the only show that surpasses that expectation. DW meets it once in while, Casshern has never gotten it yet, and anything after 1:30AM is below it.

Don’t get me wrong,Toonami is a vast improvement over ASA, but Lazzo and the other execs will continue to inhibit its potential until the first three shows on the block can pull in more than 1mil on a consistent basis.

Wrong, the whole 1st block typically does better then the Eric Andre Premier shows and the Toonami Premier shows has been doing Better then the Metalopacalypse Premiers. Bleach also had less then a million consistently BEFORE Toonami. Its not the Toonami block issue, its an Anime issue on US television in general. Anime in the states is niche compared to Seth Mcfarlene comedies for example. Blame the time-slot and lack of promo (Which by the way they started to step up since I’m seeing more Toonami promos on week nights now). You got to be kidding yourself if you expect the block to take shit in storm when it premieres -_-. Like Jason Demarco said its gonna be a slow progress as we get minor improvements each week, but they all add up. Old Toonami did not become a flagship over night.

Anyway, how was your response relevant to me posting that quote…?

the english dub for deadman wonderland is probably one of the more better ones out there
that shit was fucking hilarious crow is a great man lmfaoo so many fucking quotables
its like boondocks with how outrageous it sounded
"as soon as that buzzer goes off, im fucking you up man, little boy or not"
“you kinda need that shit to survive”

best dialogue for a fight ever

**DEAD CENTER! **

Once more money starts pouring into the block I think they need to start adding more non-anime programming into the block. Toonami had more than anime in it’s heyday. It had DCAU shows, Megas XLR, He-man and other good western shows. The fourth season of the Boondocks and Black Dynamite would be decent start. 9-12 could be the cartoon portion of the block while 12-3 be the anime portion.

young justice and thunder cats had shows before that were toonami vets
