PSG would get butchered to hell by AS’ Double Standards & Practices. Apparently, the action (anime) programming has a bigger list of criteria to be met before being broadcasted on television, whereas, the Comedy programming has more leniency.
Here are examples of the double standards:
-excessive blood-shed is shadowed out in AS’ anime, while the comedy shows can get away with waterfalls of bright red blood spilling from a character.
-In anime, the extremely violent actions (dismemberment, decapitation, etc) is either made to censored to look ambiguous, implied, or completely remove the scene. Comedy shows can get away with extremely graphic violence (Metalapoclypse, Superjail); some of the shit in the comedy shows are fucking heinous.
-Language seems to be the same, but certain lines of dialog are censored out.
I could go on about how hypocritical their Standards and Practices are, but I won’t because it requires so much time and space to do so. The general idea is that PSG’s potential would be inhibited by AS’ S&P’s. I will make a video exposing this bullshit though; anyone who has footage of [adult swim] broadcasts, both anime and comedy, should hit me up.
P&S is a comedy. It’s not an action show.
Those rules apply to any anime and the language laws are really fucking nuts for anime over comedy. Had it explained to me once a long ass time ago when I was a mod of sorts on the [AS] Boards.
