I tried to spread the word as best I could back when that came on. Didn’t get a chance to watch any of it though. Grumble
My brother.
I think they just need to focus on getting some good shows on there new and old. Preferably shows that bombed in Japan that will likely to appeal to a Western audience. Shows like Big O and Witch Hunter Robin got a new lease on life due to being popular with western fans. They should get their hands on stuff like Redline, Michiko to Hatchin or even Nichijou. Maybe even go into produce their own anime again like they did with IGPX (though I don’t see this happening for a LONG time)
After watching the new opening for Persona Golden, I want Persona animation to be on Toonami, it would fit.
And they need to make OVAs covering Persona Arena, and the extra months shown in P4Golden.
Bobobo needs to return next Saturday.
Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo Gogogo-go Go-gogo
I think that the ratings for the first shows were over 1 million, but FMA likley had a decrease in viewers.
looks like the ratings will be delayed. don’t expect them until tomorrow or thursday; but don’t take my word for it.
Redline would be a great movie feature for them to show. It’s hype as fuck.
Promising news on how Toonami block did
Bleach was ranked #1 in its time-slot for Adult 18-24**,** Adult 18-34**, Men 18-24, and** Men 18-34**
Deadman Wonderland was ranked #1 in its time-slot for Adults 18-24, Men 18-24, and** Men 18-34**
Casshern Sins was ranked #1 in its time-slot for Men 18-24 and Men 18-34
Note: specific rating numbers were not revealed yet for those shows and no info on how the rest of the Toonami block performed but this is good news that 1.5 hours of the block did pretty good. source below
I am scared to see those ratings tbh,
i hope they are at least decent.
EDIT: And 13 reassures me.
Yeah this is good news, been awhile for anime shows to be way up their lol
I wouldnt mind if they showed Redline…but dat ending doe. I’d rather Sword of the Stranger. Wouldn’t be shocked if they eventually get HOTD either
Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it only did slightly better than the normal AS Saturday night block. It needs to be better.
I want Hamtaro or Yu Yu Hakusho back.
Don’t ask why.
…He HAS to be trolling
Yes, I’m trolling for wanting Hamtaro back.
:3
No actual numbers. We have to wait another few days until the Son of Bronx will post up the numbers. Realistically speaking, I think the highest rated premier would’ve obtained somewhere from 600-650k viewers, 700k being the highest, while the lowest rated show would’ve gotten less than 100k.
but it really pisses me off that big-daddy Turner won’t give Demarco a bigger fund for the Toonami project. if it was brought back with at least two classic shows, that ratings would’ve increased ten-fold.
Because spending money on no ratings CNN is more important.
lmfao^
cnn still get’s ratings. in fact, it’s turner network’s highest rated cable channel. but they have terrible ratings past 11:00PM though.
