Just on ESPN they asked, “Will Bolt go back to being a once-every-4-year star again real soon?” And I thought it was a stupid question. But I thought about it for a second. Folks in Europe, the islands and parts of the USA will always know him. But some people will actually forget him. And you have to scroll into the “Other Sports” or “Olympics” section on websites just to keep tabs on him. When you compare that to other stars, their stuff is on the main page of the site and it jumps out at you.
Man I’m seeing way too many charts and articles about shit like “If you look at medal counts per Continent, Europe wins” or “If you take in consideration the total population of each country when tallying medal counts, X nation would beat China and USA”.

Yeah, Winter Olympics… it’s a collection of boring shit, imo. Aside from the points made on the previous page… there’s the issue you already know I’m going to point out— there is 0.0 sex appeal going on in the Winter Olympics. Zero, nada, not nan as some of my fellow southerners might say. The closest thing that comes to mind is the figure skating event, but that is plagued by terrible, distant camera angles. (*most likely because it’s either women or homosexual men in charge of the production room at the time…just taking a wild and politically incorrect guess there. On the other hand, compare those 500-miles away camera angles to the wonderful close-up pussy/camel-toe shots going on with Rhythmic Gymnastics this year, or the nice booty shots in regular gymnastics) As if that wasn’t enough to instantly kill my interest… the outfits aren’t that great since they have 1 or 2 layers of opaque stockings on most of the time…so it’s not really counting as upskirt shots, and you aren’t seeing the bare legs either. In the other sports… of course the women are wearing 42 layers of clothing because duh… it’s winter… and this is one of many reasons that season sucks in the first place. You can’t even tell if a woman has a great body or not since they have so much clothes and “gear” on.

Actually I think a good evaluation would be a ratio of events entered/possible medals to medals earned. That’s something I’d like to see.
