You can get giant monster drops from the random collection points.
Hmm, I saw the Sage, I donāt remember if I got the book or the scene in Dahgnrest. Everyone has been mentioning the mountains collapsing in every city Iāve been to. Iāll take a look, perhaps I got the book and forgot. I remember the Sage wasnāt there the second time I went though.
As for chips, just play poker. It pays out pretty well, I started with 500 chips betting 50 until I had like 1000, then went to 100 bets, got to 5k pretty fast, and then have been using 500 bets since then. In about 10 minutes or so youāll easily get 100k chips. Itāll take you awhile to whittle down even 5k worth, but even 30k should be more than enough in terms of chips to use the machines.
I donāt have last fencer yet, and Iām not sure Iāll bother with it anytime soon. There are so many sidequests in this game right now, itāll take me awhile to finish them all, especially if I get this secret dungeon. I should probably grade farm too. I figure if I put the 1 damage thing on Rita and just do huge overlimit combos it should get me lots of grade.
:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
Whoever decides this on Namcoās end deserves as big a left hook as their sidequest designer.
Yeah, definitely go back and check. If it doesnāt work out, Iāll go re-check myself and let you know.
at Lv. 115 right now and beat 200-man melee with everyone. trying to complete the monster and collectorās memo, butā¦ I canāt believe I missed judyās original spear eventā¦:shake: I guess I have to replay it nowā¦lol btw, doing judyās air combo is so much fun! here is her combo video:

I like most of the characters (except bitch ass Anise), and hated fucking Akzeriuth (most of Lukeās team were a bunch of pussies there) but I loved everything else.
Of all the mothership Tales games, I thought that Tales of Destiny had the overall best cast of characters. Second to that would probably be Symphonia (minus Colette). Iām still holding a grudge against Vesperia for not letting me play Flynn.
Yeah I checked Dahngrest and flew all over the map. Even visited regular Yormgren and found the box there. I guess the Sage didnāt give me anything, I probably visited too early or something. A lot of things in this game have a random time frame that is also very tight. Without a faq or a tipoff in advance, Iām guessing most people are missing lots of things.
So the dungeon, if I had unlocked it, would have been west of kogorh or west of zaphias somewhere right? There arenāt many places on the map anyway, if itās supposed to auto trigger if I fly over it, I must have already flown over it dozens of times.
Man that sucks, I wanted to do the secret dungeon. I guess they really made it secret, but this is just stupid imo. I repeatedly checked everything many times throughout the game.

Colette is fucking love.

Agreed, bitches screwed us by not making Flynn playable.
EDIT: 3. Raine, on the other hand, needs to get shot in the face with a rifle.
It I remember correct its in an area called the Fillfolia Mountains and its on the same continent as the hot springs. Anyway, to help you out, this is how I know I unlocked the secret dungeon.
Secret Dungeon
[details=Spoiler]All you need to do is activate the Abyssion (Yuriās Sword) quest, then you need to get Sorcererās Ring Level 5 by going to two Air Krenes.
Then beat Tarqaron by unlocking both Elevators. The quest to fight Kratos is in Labyrinth of Memories (secret dungeon).
To open the quest, finish the game and load up your file after the credits rolled and after youāve saved it. First you go to Phaerohās Crag and use to portal to enter Yormgen, head to the Elder and talk to him to receive a Book. Now you go to Dahngrest and see a little scene with a mountain slide, the Labyrinth of Memories should be open now to the west.
Also, when you get in, youāll be required to get 15 Fake Gald, which can be obtained by randomly opening Chests and killing Bosses, once youāve reached the accumulated amount, you can unlock the way to fight Kratos.[/details]
There you go.
@AD02: Nah, screw Colette. But the reason I like ToD so much is because Rutee is one of the rare strong female leads in the Tales series. I guess Farah kind of counts, but Rutee is more badass. Then thereās the code the lets you play Lilith. Beast!
Actuallyā¦I guess that explains it. I didnāt actually beat the game. Iāve correctly realized what the final dungeon is, and have been spending hours messing around with sidequests, mini-games, skill level ups, etc.
I guess New Game+ works differently in this game if you can load up a save after you already beat the gameā¦Iāll figure it out in a few hours.
last night
Spoiler
Iām lv 70 and good at the game in general, so last night I went up against Dukeās third form. I beat his first and second forms without even using the OL gauge (saving it), but on the third form I guess I just spent more time healing people than I did dishing damage because I lost.
today
Spoiler
This morning I swapped out Rita with Raven and beat him. Love Shot was essential lol. The fell arms are now powered up and everytime I win a battle they get stronger. Yuriās attack went from 1500 to 4300. I guess thereās no point in getting the last fencer nowā¦
Love Shot is EPIC.
At triple the cost of First Aid, itās practically instant healing with no casting time (even if the arrows have to catch your ally first).
Raven just single-handedly began the revolution for the need of instant-heals in Tales games, IMO.
late game weapon
Spoiler
Um, yeah there is a point to getting Last Fencer. It has the āGloryā skill, which makes Yuri impervious to ANY stagger or flinching. Which means, you can plow through any enemy without any chance of them stopping your attack.
last part
[details=Spoiler]
so i am a scrub as i just realized duke has 3 forms?! shit i coudlnt even get past his 2nd one before he assraped my whole time with ZA WARUDO.(admittedly i shouldnt have let him cast it but u know.)
im usin the top tier team, Yuri+Bitches. at level 64, am i good to go? or should i just grind a few more levels out on the tower?[/details]
final boss
[details=Spoiler]Dukeās third form is level 85, IIRC. So yeah, you might get stomped on. Iāve heard conflicting reports that you can bust out the full power Fell Arms on him, but I donāt know for sure if they get full strength during that fight or after it.
At any rate, have Estelle on standby whenever he goes into Overlimit, as Big Bang will knock you to 1 HP (as you already know). Also, once you get him down to 25% of his HP heās gonna use a new Mystic Arte called Brave Vesperiaā¦which does a shitload of damage AND heals him for about 100,000 HP.
After that, when he gets weak heāll try to use Guardian Frost to heal himself. Stop that shit with whatever you can, so he doesnāt get a ton of HP back.[/details]
But Flynn is playable!
answer
Spoiler
The first time I beat him I was lv 63 so you should be good to go. Just make sure youāre stocked up on items and have decent gear.
advice
[details=Spoiler]The fell arms names change during the final fight, but theyāre still not strong until you defeat him so I just used my regular weapons for the fight. He did use that ābrave vesperiaā move to restore 158000 hp to himself (and almost kill my party), but having limit bottles handy takes care of that. :wgrin:
Actually, whenever he knocked everyoneās hp to 1, I had yuri use a special gel (restore all hp & tp) and get right back to the fight, raven starts casting love shot on himself like crazy and estelle starts charging revitalize on herself. Judy got right back to fighting too as love shot is good enough untill estelle finishes casting. If someone dies, have estelle cast resurrect and and try to save your life bottles for when you get desperate (unless either estelle dies or 2 people die at the same time). As far as dishing damage, overlimit + destruction field is what worked for me. To cure status effects, have estelle use recover, unless youāre desperate, then use a bottle.[/details]
Well i cleared the 100 man melee, I used Raven. He was pretty much in overlimit the entire challenge, and the times he wasnāt, was usually when he just froze time. I walked in with 1 overlimit, if I had 4 to begin with I think it would have just been continuous throughout. I donāt see the point of really using level 4s, I guess the time is longer and you can rebuild it all the way, so maybe I should, but if you use Level 1s you always have a chance at restoring your TP completely with the skill, so it seems to make more sense to do it that way.
Of course, I could just use Risky Ring, and TP wonāt be a problem at all I suppose. Maybe Iāll try that sometime.
Flynn never showed up. I guess Iāll have to do more exploring, or maybe itās another one of those you have to beat the game first things? I have a challenge letter from him, I figured heād pop up at the end, but it was just two schmucks. Iām sure one of you guys can post something saving me the time, Iāve pretty much explored and done everything possible except the Quiz for Rita (I found all the books). At least, everything I think is possible, how much more can they possibly have packed into this game? There arenāt that many places to check!
